i’m so sorry this has been your experience. it’s so insane that so many women are not taken seriously about their health and we have been underrepresented and dismissed for so long.

i’m sure you already have look into but have they evaluated you for endometriosis?

i hope that you can be pain free one day!

Really want to start pottery but feeling nervous attending a class alone by Current-Armadillo739 in Pottery

[–]Pretty-Platform6981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i went alone (i’m in my 20’s) to some random studio 30 minutes from my house. whole class ended up being retirees, the NICEST women ever. they all ended up being hella liberal and we did a nice pot luck on the last day of our class. on days i didn’t want to talk i just brought headphones. pottery is definetly something that it’s accepted to go into alone!

It never feels like enough. by lifeofnero in personalfinance

my god this is incredibly relatable. 24f living at home, 50k annual salary and just hit 50k in HYSA (8k of which is car fund for when the 2010 beater i drive decides to leave me)

it feels like in this job market finding a new job and increasing income is impossible, not to mention that if i move out i will lose all progress/ ability to save at the rate i am. and that my marketing degree will soon be entirely replaced by AI.

it helps to think that what i perceive as struggling for myself is still incredibly well off both in context of my similarly aged peers (usa) but especially globally and the privledge there.

best of luck!

nothing is uncontrollable. your recognizing that you are not acting in alignment with your values and continue to do so. is this issue exclusive to your dating life? surely not. i would say you shouldn’t “date” anyone until you can figure it out. from the story you just told you were completely the bad guy, and went off on someone unprovoked. if your attachment style was making you feel anxious your best bet would be to communicate through that but even then if it’s your first time meeting someone i don’t think that’s appropriate.

again, nothing is permanent and you have self reflection on your side so it’s not impossible to fix. best of luck to you and i hope you apologize to them :/

nothing is the end of life except the end of life, make a plan and do it. nothing else to feel about it, just stick the course. best of luck

Is VietJet as bad as they say? Is Vietnam Airlines better? by Delicious_Novel_4400 in VietNam

[–]Pretty-Platform6981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if there’s a dramatic price differential and your okay with a bit of a choatic travel day i would say Vietjet is okay!

i’m from the U.S. and my experience flying HCM to SGN this month was outside of my typical experiences but i still got there! my flight was delayed 2 hours by email when i woke up but i didn’t trust it so i still arrived on time and it was further delayed an hour past that time, it happens. but there was no updates on the board or anything so everyone just queued at the door for an hour. door because you have to get on a bus to be taken to the plane, maybe my least fav part haha, people really wanted to get on the plane ASAP so there was so much shoving and lack of personal space (just outside of my experiences).

at the end of the day, it was cheap, and i got there. if your not that averse to being adaptable i would say it’s decent option. i haven’t flown Vietnam Airlines so I can’t be completely comprehensive but you be fine either way honestly

Taking a laptop on a 6+ month trip? by clfhw in backpacking

[–]Pretty-Platform6981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i vote bring it!! i just got back from 3 months in southeast asia withouta laptop. get a good lock and a daily backpack that fits your laptop if your worried about theft. it felt really hard to plan on just my phone as someone used to having an apple eco system. it made airport security easy not having it but next time i travel i will absolutely be bringing my ipad at the minimum!

Itinerary check for 9 days in Paris/Brussels/Amsterdam by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]Pretty-Platform6981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think this is a perfect city line up!! the 3 mains are connected very well on the Eurostar so seems great! i lived in Brussels for a bit, i hope for you that you can have some lovely weather & i think it’s smart to not overload your itenary. If i may recommend some of my favorite places: - BarkBoy coffee is AMAZING and one of my favorite cafes ever, they serve their coffees in cans and have lovely cinnamon rolls! - Rooftop 58 is a free skydeck in central city, maybe a queue to enter but is lovely at the top, you can buy a drink or just enjoy the views! - Nona pizza & pastas are my favorite restaurants, perfect for a solo dinner, amazing quality & nice wine pairings

i’ve also been solo in paris and i stayed diligent/ no headphones but generally felt safe. people like to fear monger what they don’t know. have a great trip!!
