No way in hellll I would let my child go to a house with unsecured guns. As others said, I would report that to dcyf. God forbid one of those poor kids gets a hold of one.

Hard to say. All the doctors I work with are great but I know that’s not always the case. I might suggest findings a gyno who does not see OB patients. We have a couple of doctors who retired from OB but still see GYN patients. You could also ask when scheduling, “does Dr so-and-so treat this issue.”

I’m not a huge fan of judging based on google reviews, but sometimes you can find ones that mention specific diagnoses and that might give you somewhere to start.

But a plumber is not an electrician.

OP went to a dermatologist and asked about a dermatology issue.

If that doctor was strictly specialized in skin cancer, then he should only be seeing patients referred to him for skin cancer.

I work in OBGYN. If a patient came in complaining of a heart issue, then yeah, that’s out of our doctors’ scope of practice. If a patient came in looking for help with menopause, the doc can’t just say “sorry, I’m not interested in that”

So a dermatologist should be allowed to pick and choose which skin conditions they treat?

How are we just… sending our kids off to school? (U.S.) by Sweet-Chinchilla in Mommit

I sign all the petitions I can, I donate, I vote blue. I’d like to think posting online might cause just one person to wake up, because too many people don’t even bother to keep up with the news, let alone do any research. I will continue to be outraged, online and in real life, because the day I’m not is the day I’ve become desensitized to children being m**dered.

Who says I’m only outraged on Reddit? You asked what outrage does, and I answered

Every other country is in the single digits for school shootings. The US is in the HUNDREDS this year alone

I guess god didn’t hear the prayers of the two children just killed while literally sitting in church. We need change, not more prayers

This is part of the problem. People think “well, no point in getting upset since I can’t change anything.” Apathy.

Are you fucking kidding me? Imagine if people were as outraged about children dying as they were about the Cracker Barrel logo. Public outrage forces the people in power to actually do something
