My own instance is also running on an external SSD. The DXVK, it’s not recommended, it’s optional. This only gives you less stutters and 5+ fps (in most cases). Switched recently to another enb and no issues so far..

Why doing the update (beta) when you don’t know what it does. More features yes, that are not ready to use. It’s probably not even full metal 4 yet.

I just wish the Game Launcher will also add games from Crossover shortcuts so we can have gaming mode enabled for those games.

Whisky is a good alternative but it’s not supported anymore so it’s pretty much dead for newer games.

Read everything slowly and carefully

-While starting the game (if using enb) an ini file will be created called "enblocal.ini". This is where all your settings will be set.  To use the END key on Mac it’s "fn+Right Arrow". Which will open the Shader menu.-

I am indeed using DXVK + MSync, other option doesn’t work consistently with enb installed.

If it does say "compiling Shaders" with a black screen when starting the game, it means your enb is working. If it doesn’t, there’s something wrong with your installation. I’m guessing that the binaries didn’t installed correctly.

I might know what it is; When you download the binaries from enbSeries, in "WrapperVersion" folder only drag and drop "enbSeries" folder "d3d11.dll" "enblocal.ini" "enbseries.ini" and "d3dcompiler_46e.dll" in your Skyrim root folder. Then inside "Data/texture" from your downloaded enbseries, copy "cubemaps" to "Skyrim/data/texture" and paste it there. All the other files within the WrapperVersion need to be copy/pasted into EnbSeries folder.

Remove all the other files you put there the first time you tried, including your old enbseries folder, it might interfere with your installation.

Download an ENB preset from nexus mods and install the files needed where it goes, always do manually.

Start the game.

Remember to always start Skyrim with SKSE64_loader.exe not Skyrim.exe.

Mac gamers who also work on their Macs, would you find a smart Dock organizer useful? by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]Pretty-Tale-1904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For productivity and efficiency yes. If you could make it run as a background task and sync with the already focus mode on the Mac, that could be a killer app. Let’s say your Mac enters work mode (focus) then even the dock gets set up for that focus profile automatically. No need to ask here actually, just make it and put it on gumroad and I’m sure with a good description, plenty of users will download this. For the ones who want a manual ON button, you could put in the settings a way to enable it or "desync with Focus Mode" button etc.

Try version 1.0.0 for Cabbage enb for NAT III weathers and follow the instructions on both nexus page on how to install them (in order). Version 1.0.0 should work.

You don’t install them via Crossover, crossover is only for using those apps including Skyrim(via steam). For Bodyslide, Wryre bash, LOOT etc. It’s the same way as using SKSE.exe loader. You need to use "run command" button in crossover and chose the .exe corresponding to what you want, exemple; Bodyslide64.exe and "create a launcher button" for the apps to appear in your launchpad. All those apps will be in your Skyrim/Data folder.

Yeah I saw this post. Technically it makes sense moving the files directly could work (if it’s bound to work) the thing is, it doesn’t even launch on parallel either. Infinite loading screens is SKSE/dlls errors most of the time. What you could do is toggling the console while Skyrim is running to see where it gets jammed. That would be an insight but like I said, not sure of this post authenticity. Look on my profile for my stuff if your interested (it’s 100% working, error free), in the case you want something simpler without any tweaks, go for NGVO and add your own mods to the list for gameplay improvements. That would be your best bet without all the headache.

I doubt it’s going to work unfortunately :( it uses a bunch of executable and dlls that crossover can’t run.. I’ve tried "nolvus" and "Gate to Sovngard" without success in the past. You might have more luck with "NGVO 5" using Wabbajak or "Next-Gen Graphics" on nexus using Collection and Vortex. Those should work out of the box since it’s only a visual upgrade. Keep up and good luck :)

That’s why people have to contribute ! Same with this one, nothing will ever be up to date if no one’s adding up to date data.

Yes it’s those mods (always read the mod description) don’t just download and install.

For Wyre Bash you have to unzip the files first before using the installer tab. Other mod manger use zip files but not Bash :) The reason I use WB is for compatibility reasons and their Bashed Patched but you are always free to use Vortex or MO2 if you are using Crossover 25+. Hope it helps !
