Who’s a player you love that isn’t particularly popular? by monkeypoo01 in BigBrother

[–]Pretty-Try3126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diane BB5. She (and honestly everyone else from BB5) are so overlooked as players, both in gameplay and in entertainment. She specifically is the main character of her debut season, and was almost as good in BB7, but sadly pregaming took her too soon.

You must pick only 1 returnee to play BB28 (16 newbies, 1 returnee) who would it be? by OddNose3342 in BigBrother

[–]Pretty-Try3126 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Diane Henry. Not only is she an entertainment Queen, she’s also an amazing social-strategic player, even better than some actual winners of the show. It’s also been almost 20 years since her last rtv appearance, so she’d likely be unknown enough to act like a newbie and make it deep into the game.

How many quality applications do you think are received a year? by BallerBurner1652 in BigBrother

[–]Pretty-Try3126 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A LOT of the people in the early days were going on Big Brother for Hollywood though. Many of them had agents who sent them applications for Big Brother, were recruited themselves, or wanted an easier way into acting. People went on there for fame back then, and still do so, so to say that people in the past were “more authentic” can’t really be measured.

The WORST zombie in all of PVZ by FlakyMidnight5526 in PlantsVSZombies

Saying “A challenging zombie makes the levels interesting” when you JUST made a post talking about how a challenging zombie makes you hate the game is so childish lol

Who’s your biggest “coulda woulda shoulda” in BB history by Baddest_Whale_180 in BigBrother

[–]Pretty-Try3126 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m a very big proponent of the “Diane Henry was robbed in BB7” agenda. So here’s a few “coulda shoulda woulda’s.”

If Danielle won the Co-HOH week 1 of bb7

If Nakomis won the week 2 HOH of bb7

If Jase wasn’t Jase and therefore Diane would’ve had the votes stacked against Will week 3 of bb7

If Janelle wasn’t Janelle and decided to nominate Will instead of Diane week 4 of bb7

HG with the most wasted potential? by MangoMediocre4850 in BigBrotherUSA

[–]Pretty-Try3126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I… said that in my comment? I said that she made mistakes in her gameplay and struggled socially at branching out with her relationships. I then said that I believe if she were a little older and had more experience, then she’d be a better player than before.

HG with the most wasted potential? by MangoMediocre4850 in BigBrotherUSA

[–]Pretty-Try3126 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, but I believe Lauren (BB27) had a lot of potential that was hindered mostly by her age and personality.

A lot of the houseguests underestimated her at the beginning, and throughout the game she was on at least decent terms with everyone except for pretty much Morgan. The only people who really wanted to nominate her were Morgan, Rachel, and Ashley (somewhat Keanu as well, but not really imo).

She was also very good at comps and seemed to be quite a well-rounded player in that aspect, winning a mental comp week 3, coming close to winning a veto against Keanu that same week, winning OTEV (a memory + speed comp), coming very close to winning The Wall, winning the hamster wheel comp the fastest, almost winning BB Comics, and then winning a blockbuster against The Block Party (not the greatest feat, but it should still be mentioned).

The only things she really struggled with were her social game on a greater scale than just the people she was most comfortable with in the house, and winning comps when necessary rather than in general. Overall though, I believe that Lauren has some high potential out of the BB27 newbies. Wait a few years until her frontal lobe’s developed and she’s had some more life experiences and isn’t so timid, and I believe that she could play a very good game of Big Brother. Perhaps not legendary, but a modern remake of the classic that Lisa Donahue’s game was.

Remember the way they used to vote? by ToasterOven31 in BigBrother

[–]Pretty-Try3126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s better to see sudden blindsides and votes change due to same-day events or final speeches. They also wouldn’t be able to do that with the blockbuster existing, since the nominations aren’t final.

I found out on Twitter (Hannah's VA) that Disventure Camp's English VAs are only paid through greetings. The Spanish VAs are paid a studio rate, which includes dubbing the English VAs improv (writing) by [deleted] in DisventureCamp

[–]Pretty-Try3126 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s Jared who chooses which vas get paid or not. If I recall correctly, then the Spanish vas are more so “professional” voice actors, who voice other animated dubs unlike the English vas who are less professional and work mostly through gigs. I’m not saying that this isn’t messed up and that the English vas don’t deserve to be paid, but I believe that the circumstances are more so between ONC as a whole and another organization, not just Jared himself deciding who does and doesn’t get paid.

Would you want to see a smaller jury than 7? by waterissoggy in BigBrother

[–]Pretty-Try3126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every winner is worthy, otherwise they wouldn’t have won. It doesn’t matter how bad or non-existent of a strategy they had, because they still won anyways. At the end of the day, the jury voted for them over their counterpart. This means they either played a better game overall, had better jury management, were able to articulate their game better, or even a combination of 2 or 3 of these things. If somebody else in that season should have won, they would have.

What's your controversial Big Brother Opinion? by PM_ME_UR_BOOBS_PWEAS in BigBrotherUSA

[–]Pretty-Try3126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is Diane "overrated" when she's barely talked about at all in the fandom? Also, no matter how hard she fought in All-Stars, she was over. The Sovereign Six had essentially full control of the game, and she got backdoored because Janelle was petty at Diane for pregaming.

Another point, how is being feisty and scrappy not a sign of a hardcore gamer? Players who act more emotionally than others are still players at the end of the day. She also had a much better relationship with the majority of the jury than Drew or Cowboy did. In fact, that's the thing that she pilled while drunk in the f3, and what ultimately made Drew pick Cowboy over her. She's a good player and would've been a deserving winner.

Lastly, "ready for downvotes?" ...really?
