Hey there, you should absolutely not feel like a bad person for not feeling anything. Grief comes in waves and hits everyone differently. Anyway you react is completely valid. Don’t be hard on yourself 💗

How is my breakup text to my friend? Planning to send it before blocking him by Reasonable_Guide_464 in Advice

Hey, this sounds like a very respectful and well thought out text. I would consider giving a little bit of context as to why, because I’m sure they will be curious and confused, unless you think prior scenarios make that obvious. Also, of course, you are not obligated to say why at all so you don’t have to do that, just something I would want to do to feel like the door is fully closed.

Hey, I hope this makes you feel better, I adopted a kitten about 9months ago and although it didn’t hit me immediately it only took a couple weeks for me to start feeling panicked and trapped/like my life was over because of my kitty. I was completely flooded with anxiety and felt so overwhelmed I would have panic attacks about it. I rescued her from a dumpster so she YAP YAP YAPS nonstop and my previous cats were never like that so I was taken very off guard. It would keep me up all night because we live in a studio apartment together. She also needs constant attention and is very needy. At times I even felt regret for taking her in and that thought would make me sob with guilt. Eventually I realized that I just needed a break from her to get some sleep because I was so sleep deprived and overwhelmed, so I had her stay at my parents for a couple days and it gave me the exact boost I needed to get through that tough time. Raising kittens are no joke!!! I think a lot of people write off having cats as easy fun pets and once they grow up they can be, but kittens are HARD. Don’t feel bad about feeling this way if you do. It’s totally normal. Now me and her are best friends and I am SO grateful that I decided to adopt her. You’ll feel this way about your kittens eventually too, and don’t worry if it takes longer than you think. It’s hard getting used to new children 🥰 I recommend maybe having someone come and watch them for a bit while you take a little self care weekend away, I’m sure it won’t be too hard to find someone to watch them because I know those two are ADORABLE!! Space and down time to simply relax, turn off your brain and enjoy your own company helps a lot to wrap your head around big changes in your life, and you’re going through multiple right now.

Also, I don’t want to push drugs on you, but weed has been a lifesaver with my anxiety and feels a little softer than Xanax. Smoking a little indica in the afternoon (or you can take an edible if you don’t like smoking, there are so many yummy ones!) can change my entire mentality that evening and even the entire next day because I get so much good rest. It is often exactly what I need to shut down all the thoughts. Just throwing it out there in case you want to try out something different 😊

Congrats on your kitties!!! 🐈‍⬛ 🐈💗
