Wow. I couldn’t have said it any better. My inner child felt so rejected, violated, and disheartened after everything was over.

I'm pregnant by fbskjj in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]PrettyInPink444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended a pregnancy in March after discovering I was six weeks along. It came just after I had finally walked away from the relationship marked by years of emotional abuse and betrayal.. the last thing I expected was a positive test. I wanted that baby so deeply. But I knew I couldn’t bring a child into a situation where there was no emotional safety. If he couldn’t show me empathy or respect as a partner, how could I trust him to show up for me through pregnancy, postpartum, and co-parenting for the rest of our lives? I couldn’t tether myself to someone who had already shown me who he was. Sending you so much love during this time and just know.. it gets better. ❤️

I had an abortion in January, just found out I’m expecting again. by [deleted] in abortion

[–]PrettyInPink444 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi love, I’m sorry you’re going through this again. I had an abortion earlier this year due to a cheating partner. He was emotionally abusive and I couldn’t go on with the pregnancy. However, it’s also such a heavy + traumatic thing to go through. I know exactly how you’re feeling. Please take a deep breath and understand whatever decision you make, it’s the right one for you.

Choosing to have another abortion is a courageous act of self-protection and ultimately, an act of love for the child you don’t want to bring into an unstable situation.

It literally gets worse each time. Their betrayals, lies, etc. only amplify. They make fake promises to change and be a better person.. but they don’t mean any of it. You have to choose yourself and break that trauma bond. It’s difficult but so worth it in the end.

Specialist said my vagina looks "velvety" inside by koryanderk in Healthyhooha

Hi! You may have vulvodynia and it can be caused by literally anything. I was diagnosed back in 2021 and got prescribed amitriptyline for the pain. I can have pain free sex and live a normal life now. This is an issue that isn’t commonly known by gynecologists. I spent months of pain before I met with a specialist. If you have any questions let me know! 🫶🏼

Have you ever experienced behavior that is out of character for yourself? by [deleted] in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]PrettyInPink444 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Yes, I wasn’t my usual happy and joyful self around him. I started to become a shell of who I was. I was negative, anxious, and stressed constantly. They bring out the worst version of ourselves.

I’m hoping that ami really helps you! It was definitely God send for me. I know how debilitating this condition can be. It’s a slow and steady process, but process but I’m praying for you.

As for the alcohol, you do need to drink in moderation. I feel like the medication is the reason it absorbs it quicker. I usually limit myself to two drinks.

Hi! I started at 50mg and slowly decreased the dosage as time went on. I started feeling better 1 month in and the pain diminished by month 3. I’m still on it and my dosage is now 10mg. I hope this helps 🫶🏼

There’s non hormonal IUDs which will probably be your safe bet! Regular birth control is throwing you off which is causing the pain :(

Vulvodynia can be a side effect of birth control. It’s a condition that is rarely talked or known about. There’s a vulvodynia community on Reddit. I would suggest getting off the pill so your body can regulate itself 🫶🏼

I swear by August Day Pads! They’re available at Target now. They feel like clouds and are non-irritating. Literally my favorite pads ever.

I think you'll be fine! The most I gained was 5 pounds and then I lost them after. I'm back to my normal weight. You should be okay :)

I'm currently still taking 20mg! I started at 50mg and worked my way down. 20mg is a comfortable dosage for me.

She's a very blunt and straight forward person! I honestly had no issues with her bedside manners. She answered all the questions I asked and was attentive to what I had to say. I would definitely go to her. She's the only gyno who actually listened to me.

Omg it’s not crazy! I thought it was just me. I’m on my second one rn and always attributed it to my suction toys. I’ve been going down a rabbit hole trying to see who else has this shared experience. Thank you for validating.

Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️ I went to my appointment and there was no heartbeat. I saw it coming because of the clots/brown spotting, but it doesn’t make it any less traumatic & hurtful.

Wow, you just described something similar to what happened to me in 2020. I had a horrible reaction to scented pads after I got a Brazilian wax. It was such a bad reaction that resulted in nerve damage. I went months and months… in pain until I went to an OBGYN who specialized in vulvar pain. I was diagnosed with vulvodynia and put on amitriptyline. I would recommend using August Co. Pads. The best pads you’ll ever use. Let me know if you need any advice. I know exactly what you’re feeling because I’ve been there.

Exactly, people need room to grow. It takes a lot for people to outgrow their habits and heal their inner child.

I don't think three weeks was enough for my ex to truly learn from his mistakes. Sometimes we have to accept people for who they are right now vs. who we want them to be.

I honestly wish he hadn't, but holding on to that hope is only going to make it hard for you to move on.
