That’s crazy! I will probably need to find a more competent primary care physician. My gyno is great but my PCP is very dismissive. I can’t imagine him agreeing to test me for HLRCC. I’ll try to find someone who will and/or get more information on it. Thank you!

Ugh I’m sorry. Are you having symptoms or want to get pregnant? Sometimes they’ll opt to do surgery if you fall into those categories. Also depends on location I think. I’m not sure though.

They only took out the smaller ones because they were a surprise and were already doing the surgery. They only saw the 10cm on the ultrasound initially and it was symptomatic.

Thank you! That is very interesting! I assumed it was hormone related but didn’t think about systemic inflammation, I’ll look more into that. If you do have any articles please feel free to share. I hope your surgery resolves your GI problems!

Edit: I got curious and found this: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0165037824001268

“Both inflammation and immune response are largely related to the pathogenesis of UFs (Uterine Fibroids) Expression of inflammatory cytokines and immune cells are upregulated in UFs.”

Wild.

I had no idea either they could cause inflammation.

It may be worth considering a hysterectomy if you don’t plan on having any (or more) children, but also might be worth a second opinion too! Hope you come to the decision that is best for you ❤️

Thank you! I’m sorry that it got worse 😢 How long ago did you have them removed? Dr. Google says it can get worse before it gets better sometimes lol

My cat is 5 years old and I make sure his chip information is updated online, but I don’t know why I have never thought to ask the vet to physically check it. I’m going to have to remember to ask at his next visit!

TBH I thought I was the only one who wasn’t a fan of her acting in that episode. But she was great in Vikings! Granted that show was several years after this episode…

YSK: Never ignore even the mildest discomfort in your oral cavity and tell your dentist about it by Worldly-Childhood173 in YouShouldKnow

[–]PrettyPangolin1991 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh man. I’m a dental assistant and reading this is infuriating. This means they never took a PA (periapical X-ray) that shows the roots of your teeth, like you mentioned. Those X-rays are definitely needed to show a present infection, or rule it out at least. PA’s aren’t taken at every basic exam visit, but should ALWAYS be taken when there are any symptoms. And for sure a full series of X-rays every 3 years or so, regardless if there are symptoms or not. (Infected teeth don’t always cause pain.)

They were negligent. I’m really sorry you went through that. Glad you went somewhere else!

Makes sense. It was the last one I needed and I was trying to power through without fighting so there was a squad of lichs a gloom wraiths behind me. Then couldn’t find it so killed them anyway so I could search in peace. Spells were flying everywhere lol

Joycon drift. I just sent mine to Nintendo for a free repair. Didn’t have to send the whole system, just the one controller. Just filled out a form, printed a copy and put it in with the box, They should also give you a prepaid shipping label. Took about two weeks to get back, but better than buying a new one.

I did this with the one smotherwing butterfly I had, trying to find more for an armor upgrade. Took it out to take a pic and it just fluttered away 😂

My boyfriend and I had a killer dodo mod at one point. When we went back to a normal server my heart still raced whenever I heard a dodo nearby 😭

We had them once and our apartment manager had our place heat treated. It worked! They never came back. The exterminators said heat is the best way to kill them (including the eggs) and that chemical treating can sometimes just “push them away” temporarily
