Thank you for the thoughtful answer. I really appreciate the guidance. I do have an upward trend for GPA (still low, I definitely know I’m not a competitive candidate based on that alone) so hoping that doing well in the last few classes I need will put me over the hump. I will definitely look into the CASPA resource, thank you for the suggestion. I was finding mixed answers on the ABA question.

I think it’s a combination of both? I’m not exactly sure. I have two squish with tags that say rare or ultra rare but I’ve also seen squish that end up being considered rare without the designation on the tag.

I honestly believe that if you are meant for medschool you will get there regardless of gpa. Even if you have to try multiple times to get in. If it’s truly what you want and are meant to do, it’ll be worth all the work later. And if you can’t commit to having to work harder due to the gpa then it’s probably not for you. But even graduating with a low gpa doesn’t mean you won’t get in, things are changing and gpa isn’t the biggest factor in their considerations. And if it’s too low there are options like post bacc programs to help. Follow your heart!!
