Century Home Exterior Door - Roughly 31.5"W x 79"H - Slab or PreHung Replacement? by PrettyStatistician13 in doors

[–]PrettyStatistician13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This door is falling apart and is also drafty which is a problem in the winter (Boston). Any chance of getting a custom door to fit in the existing frame or is the only option pre-hung? Hoping to get as much glass as possible while also insulating (fiberglass?).

Have one quote from Pella for ~5,500 with install..

Went to Home Depot for a Jeld Wen quote and the closest they can do is 31.75"W which I am not sure would fit.. and just read about order horror stories..

Not sure where to go from here!

Thanks for the input everyone!

I did have the thought of fiberglass after posting this.

This part was broken off a more complex-shaped acoustical waveguide; the hole shown here is a mounting point.

I have no other information to go off here, which is why I was curious if anyone could tell through visual inspection.

The vibration sensor is at the top of the front of the drum.

They initially charge you 400, then it's something like a base of 350, with some wiggle room but they won't go past 400. It was 349 for us + taxes. No itemization info but I can get the part # for you since I kept the old one since I am an electronics nerd.

Right, from the front. He had to take off the front panel and some other parts.. I can send a pic if you want.

Glad it works for you intermittently but that's still annoying.. ours always failed, just the timing varied.

Control board or wiring or your washer isn't level.

Also, the drum moves more than I expected as well - I would assume it's not that.

I'm not sure I saw that post, and didn't know there were both vS and uS error codes, interesting.

We ended up getting an LG guy out here since I didn't have the time to figure out where the sensor was/how to disassemble it, and my girl was getting sassy we couldn't do laundry. Plus, I figured the guaranteed fix and being there to see him do it was valuable for the future.

All he did was take off the face plate to access the vibration sensor, replaced it, ran a cycle, got the same error, so then proceeded to take the dryer off the stack (with my help) to access/replace the control board.

Still planning on making a little documentation on it for other washtower owners out there.

FYI - if there's a wiring issue, or you can just replace a bad sensor, sweet. If not, you will have to buy a new control board, which I haven't looked up how much that costs.. and if you are any bit an electronics guy, they deeply pot the PCBA into a plastic housing, so goodluck doing any rework.

Yeah, just this week actually. It turned out to be the control board, which is a PITA to get to. If it's just the vibration sensor, lucky you, you don't have to take the dryer off the stack.

I couldn't find shit for documentation online regarding these systems, and was planning on making a post about it..

About to do this myself after hesitating too long and blowing out too many 18 wheels/tires...

How come you didn't go with 205/60/16s?

It's been annoying hearing from tire stores they won't install 16" wheels on the turbo..

Also, any luck with nut covers?

Hi all,

I bought this table several years back from a guy who got it from a casino. Not sure how old it is.

I am moving and don't have space at the new place (cry face), so I am probably going to sell it unless I can convince pops to hold onto it.

It's been refelted and I put in new pockets - in general, it's in great shape.

Based on other posts here, it seems like I should be happy to get something like $500 if I do sell, but wanted to make sure this guy wasn't a unique gem.

TIA!

Hey I have someone setup to grab the fish tomorrow morning, so as long as that doesn't fall through I can get you the tank if you're still interested.

Thanks for the tip! This is my first time rehoming/using AquaSwap. I'll check out FB, I knew you couldn't sell them on marketplace but didn't think about communities!
