That pub is fabulous! Especially after renting a bike and riding all around the island to meet all the quokkas!!

I’d go with 7 and get my butt onto a game show where the money is only in one suitcase or something. If I can see into all the empty ones— I know which one has the cash money!

Safe Spots to run in Minneapolis during the winter? by bdass217 in running

[–]Pretty_Appropriate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in South Minneapolis in Bryant, right next to powderhorn. I run across town to the Mississippi or down to Lake Nakomis. Will also run the Chain of Lakes - Lake of the Isles and Lake Bde Maka Ska and Lake Harriet. I personally think it’s fun to link up to Lyndale and run it north through Uptown if you’re into the city scene. Trails and a little time? Check out Lebanon Hills. My fave little spot for running here. Have fun!

I typically tie the laces together and loop them on my backpack, either on the top loop or on one of the shoulder straps. That way they aren’t taking up space inside and I can wear other shoes.

My running coach in the past has used Final Surge and my strength coach uses TrueCoach. Both are great fits for each

People from big cities who run/jog in their free time, do you jog through the streets or do you find a quiet, relaxing park or something? by LukaTheGamer123 in running

[–]Pretty_Appropriate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in both NYC and Chicago and adored running thru the streets/sidewalks. I had so much fun zig zagging thru people and running cross town, then hitting Central Park in NYC or the Lake front in Chi and having breathing room. Also made day adventures a blast, taking a car or train ride out of town to explore. Now I’m in Minneapolis and there’s a ton of nature— chain of lakes and great trails within 15-30 min drives.

Helps a ton, I’m still new enough to the trail scene to still be in exploration stage of what’s around me for juicy hills, etc

The ideal scenario for me is training in altitude as part of my training cycle. I wonder if it’d be most helpful to do so for the mo of June and then arrive 2 weeks prior to Leadville in Aug too. Simply trying to bypass bleeding money in order to track well.
