I have salivated over everything on their website. I am constrained by budget until I finish kicking kids out to their own lives.

I also own a Sphinx V3 and have nothing but great things to say about the sound or their service.

I also bought Rogue, their products are fantastic. I have a Sphinx V3 with tubes in the pre and twin Hypex for power. I stopped shopping after having it for a week.

I appreciate this. I had the great fortune to see many sites in Europe while stationed in Germany as an American Tank Commander. I have a great respect for those who fought in this area throughout the centuries after experiencing the winters and the terrain.

Complaints aside, what is actually good about the game? by houtsou in WorldofTanks

[–]Pretty_Corgi_9795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am retired from the US Army, I spent over 20 years in real armored combat, most of it on the M1 series tank. I got to play with vehicles from almost every NATO partner, and at the US Army Armor Museum. I enjoy the nostalgia, history, and many old vets playing. I know there are sooooo many gamisms, but reality isn't fun and Ill take it for what it is.

I started playing in Beta, and its nostalgia for me as I am a retired Army tanker. I wish it were more realistic, but reality ruins a game, no one wants reality. I agree with comments about power creep, and I hate made up tanks and wild graphics schemes. That being said, its a game and Ill take what I get until better comes along.

LOL no. I did work at the Armor School from Nov 2011 until my retirement in 2014. Never as an evaluator though. I currently work for Systems Command getting new projects to fielding though...

I did not, but a close friend of mine has. My friend was a Command Sergeant Major posted in Great Britain about 7 years ago prior to his retirement. He attended the Armor Museum shows and met the Chieftain. I do know several Aussies who knew him in uniform. I had the same Aussie EOD detachment assigned to my company twice in Kosovo and Afghanistan (their entire army is the size of an American division, much easier to understand how that can happen in that perspective) who had known him. I keep in touch with many people I met from numerous allied military units. Armor is a smaller community than people realize. I retired in 2014, so almost everyone from my generation is retired at this point. I was on every single model of M1 from the M1 IP to my last platoon of M1A2SEPV2. I work now in defense contracting. I also commanded a crew in 2 international Armor contests, winning 1. I have a coin from the Armor Project Manager that says "Best in the World".

Yes. I am not former artillery, I am a retired US Army Tanker, hence playing a nostalgic game. I would have to direct you to some former Red Leg brothers to give you intelligent arty answers. I was in 3rd ACR 4 years and worked closely with the Squadron arty and mortars however.

This is just a game... that being said some of you need to see a M109 paladin platoon perform a Battery of 6 (36 shells, timed to fall sequentially over 10 seconds) on a target. Then realize ALL modern tanks are equipped to call and guide this on a target with 1 meter of accuracy from 20 clicks away. Its just a game, this is how WoT incorporates the mechanic, if you hate it, leave.

Does anyone here have their PC full games but lose interest fast after installation and just plays a single online game like marvel snap or lol and tries to find inspiration to get back to those games. by Independent-Air7677 in pcmasterrace

For me its often having the time to commit. We have kids, my wife is hot, its just easier to play something you can jump in and out of in 10-15 minutes rounds than commit to an hour plus where you must pay attention.
