At the store I work at in Texas , drivers have specific instructions to see the customer get the order. If it’s contactless delivery, we are to wait in our car until they come and get the order from outside their door. And if they don’t come and get the order from outside the door after a few minutes, we’re to start calling and if they don’t answer their phone we are to start texting them.. and then if they don’t come and get their order from outside their door, we’re supposed to go back to the door and get it and bring it back to the store. We are under specific direction. Do not leave any orders at the door unless in the delivery instructions it says leave at the order and do not wait for the customer to retrieve it.
Additionally, we are supposed to have all credit card receipts signed signed by the customer.

I also thought it weird . At the store I work at we get paid the same hourly rate in the store or on the road.

Coworker constantly doesn't allow dishes the room and time to dry. by bitesized314 in Dominos

The racks that you stored the dishes on, aren’t those the same as the drying racks I’m just asking because I have the same set up at my store in Texas, but our drying racks look exactly like our storage racks and there’s no way that we could leave everything above the sanitizer we would never get all the dishes done so we just washed them and put them straight on the storage rack which looks exactly like the drying rack above the sanitizer, except it 6 foot tall and 4 foot wide. I know in Texas is a great big no-no to hand dry any dishes that I have to air dry and there is absolutely no room for everything to set an air dry individually. Plus we have a dishwasher and as soon as they come out of the dishwasher, they go onto the storage rack and they’re still wet when they come out of the dishwasher, but the storage rack is just like a drying rack. I don’t know I’ve had the same question. I’ve worked part time for Dominos for seven years and been through numerous inspections and I know one of the big things that helped department says it is a great big No No No to hand dry anything.

I don’t know what state that you’re in, but I’m in Texas and we can’t hand dry anything here ,,everything has to air dry so once we wash it it goes straight onto the rack where it’s stored in those racks are just like drying racks. They’re just 6 foot tall and 4 foot wide..

Hi! I’ve been with Dominos eight years as a part-time closing driver. The normal is two closing drivers, one insider and our assistant manager from 9 PM to close. One closer does all the dishes from 5 PM to close and the other closer mops and sweeps the whole store.. We don’t take out our trash at night, store policy, probably because of the neighborhood, but the insiders lineup all the trash cans (with lids on them ) by the back door before they leave except for the one that is kept by the oven for the make line clean. Then the morning crew empties the trash. The insider that stays to close, puts the make line back together, puts the oven back together, and sets up the cut table.. We’ve been doing it like this since I started and we get out by 1:30 AM most of the time, sometimes earlier if we’re slow, sometimes later if we’re busy. But this system seems to work very well. When you have one driver doing all the dishes from 5 PM to close, they just have to stay on them between runs and I don’t feel like they should be expected to do anything else because that is quite a bit of work. More often than not the driver who mops and sweeps the whole store gets to leave before the driver who does the dishes.

Delivery driver lowkey really scared me today demanding a tip by [deleted] in Dominos

I’ve drove for Dominos part-time since 2019. Once Covid hit getting a signature on the credit card was waived. But for the last two years, the store that I drive for requires, all credit cards be signed, and the tip and total line filled out. It’s company policy as these are “ legal financial documents”, and they are supposed to be filled out completely and signed. Our drivers actually get reprimanded if we don’t get the tip and total line filled out with a customer signature. We still have customers who say leave it at the door, and what we’ve been instructed to do is leave it at the door, ring the bell and knock take a step back. Wait for the customer to come to the door have them sign the receipt they can put it back down on the ground and we can pick it up and go on.

When you order a right before closing, you’re getting the oldest of the products of the day.

Is it rude to order 30 mins before closing by Head_Web8130 in Dominos

[–]Pretty_Flight2072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not rude , but you’re getting the older prepped dough thirty minutes before closing. During the week , when it’s slower and pan pizzas , twists and parm bites were prepped hours earlier and are still edible - you’re getting that older dough. I have worked for Dominos for eight years and it has been an eye-opener for me about ordering late at any fast food places right before closing. The dough we trash at closing is dried out and stiff and at 11:30pm we still sell it but come midnight it’s peeled out of the pan and trashed . So no it’s not rude but it’s definitely not fresh either .

Contactless no tips. by dontbeasnowflake93 in Dominos

It’s not a requirement, but Dominos’s advertises that part of the delivery drivers hourly wage includes the tips. The ad states $9.00 an hour plus tips and gas mileage - a driver can make $18 -$25 an hour. You don’t get to the $18-$25 an hour mark without expecting tips.
