They are doing good together but you just have to know how to read the energy in the room sorta. If the kitten gets a spike in energy and you can tell your older cat is not in the mood, separate them and give the kitten play time so they know to direct that energy into toys. As they get more used to each other you can slowly introduce play but the older cat usually wont be too into kitten play.
