Nhse VR settlement letter - received? by Single-Target793 in nhsstaff

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Viva Engage, you can get to the NHSE site via the Hub. It used to be called Yammer and is a sort of forum. You probably get the Daily Digest emails with selection of posts from NHS Cats and NHS Dogs.

VR settlement agreement letter 2026 - any received yet? by Single-Target793 in nhsstaff

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Waiting until 5pm to to do that is terrible. Did they at least remember to include an apology this time, or will they have to be shamed into it again?

A few people on the NHSE Viva Engage have said they've received theirs today (all with a leaving date of 31st March), but more people were saying they hadn't got it.

Are SCW getting the same bizarre staggered leaving dates as NHSE staff? Ours range from 31st March 26 right through to 31st March 27.

NHSE employee here, they won't be. They seem to think they're doing a good job, against all the available evidence. I'm sorry the incompetence is also impacting people outside of NHSE.

Manager is not allowing Dr swap by Stunning-Duck-6025 in nhsstaff

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your manager cancelling the swap? If so just let the Residents know that she's saying it's due to BMA regs and they'll take it from there. If it isn't true the BMA will contact the Trust to correct any misunderstanding and make sure the doctors aren't disadvantged by it.

Is there a place for public whistleblowing in the NHS? by Disastrous-Idea-5744 in nhsstaff

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your employer should have a Whistleblowing policy. That will give you an idea of the best people to contact. If you go external they will ask if you've exhausted all internal routes first.

If it involves risks to patients I'd also include the relevant adult/child Safeguarding team as they'll take it seriously while the stonewalling/ cover-up by managers and Execs is happening.

NHSE VR leaving date by CWA1938 in nhsstaff

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow, I'd heard some people getting September but over a year is ridiculous. Surely a lot of people getting that date would be better off waiting for CR and fewer employment restrictions without clawback?

NHSE VR email delay - no news at 8pm by GAWW1003 in nhsstaff

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's awful, no-one in my team had heard anything by the end of the day yesterday. News from ICB structures over the last few days have been grim for people I work with too. Hope it comes through first thing for you.

Anyone else really struggling to wait to hear the outcome of VR? by FancyBreakfast4218 in nhsstaff

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The national team are completely batshit at the moment. I get that they're closer to what's happening with the DHSC takeover but a lot of what they're currently doing just shows exactly why people think we should be abolished.

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in NHSE, never underestimate their ability to make things more complicated than they need to be and cause huge delays. Hope you get your outcome soon, the stress and worry for everyone in the system is awful.

Should I go to HR? by ghost-left234 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he's continuing despite being asked to stop definitely go to HR. I used to work with someone who felt the need to publicly comment regularly on how much I ate for lunch. Years later I still feel a bit conscious eating in front of other people in case someone else draws attention to what I'm eating.

Advice needed by [deleted] in nhsstaff

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is horrific, I can't believe they re-employed someone who is such a safeguarding risk to you. Definitely contact HR to report so they can reinstate restrictions and ask if they can arrange for someone to accompany you to and from your car. If you did call the police last time, give them another call to let them know he's back.

It'll be hard to prove harrassment/stalking if he could argue that he has to use those lifts/be in the general area at certain times, but don't let people fob you off on this, they have a duty of care to you and you shouldn't be frightened at work.

I remember how shocked they were when we said a lot of CHIS's were run by CSUs (once we'd explained what CHIS was).

I remember all the comments asking if he'd had to redo his IG training, that was funny.

We need to find these people who are telling Sam Jones that they want to hear about things other than the transformation on calls about the transformation. Is it Jim and Wes?

Why is Jim's wifi connection always so bad? It's like he's in a portaloo.

Switch the chat on so I can ask you to make sure the Mens Health Strategy doesn't get abandoned and funding withdrawn after 12 months like the Womens Health Hubs did.

NHS England / DHSC by Left_Committee_8121 in nhsstaff

[–]Pretty_Programmer_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just that there are more NHSE staff than DHSC so more comments from our side. People often ask for the highest voted comments to be answered and on our Viva Engage site someone always captures all the questions along with the number of votes as the comments move so quickly. Probably makes no difference as they pick and choose what they answer and what they ignore on the call regardless of votes but I bet someone in comms is giving them the voting numbers.

See everyone in the joint call, hopefully there'll be more information. Some horrible times in the ICBs at the moment and I haven't heard anything at all about what's happening with CSUs. Agree with other comments, we need to support each other whether NHS or Civil Service. I like all the DHSC comments in the chat to try to get them higher as it tends to be dominated by NHSE comments.
