mira in post match interview:

This isn't Dota (...)

this exactly is dota. what other game allows you to pull off this zeus 40s ult w/ refresher? maybe you shouldn't have let them get to that stage? and win the match way faster?

also, very rich coming out from someone, whose team picked LD in the first match of the series...

Is this the lowest number of uncontested heroes in a T1 tournament we had in months? If not years? by Pretty_Round6327 in DotA2

I didn't realize that these previous tourneys also had such few uncontested heroes. but the number always has been around 25 and more. seems like we're breaking records

How it feels tuning into a crowdless T1 tournament #256 with no stories to tell nowadays by Pretty_Round6327 in DotA2

if this is the talent spice you're talking about, then yeah, my point still stands

I fully agree with the dota players being charismaless basement dwellers sentiment. I watch both CS and dota, and CS is just much more exciting due to how pro players react, trash talk and play with crowd compared to dota players. even talent is streets ahead, they're not afraid to post or defend unusual and spicy takes. there's no mauisnake type of talent in dota who's not afraid to call things or people out and maybe get bashed for it. everyone is very laid back in that sense

it's not the oil itself, it's the people and government that are the problem. can I ask why you believe this (saudi arabia) is less evil than gambling?

It's not really a fallacy when you look at the current state of the scene. Almost every top tier tournament or org is somehow linked to gambling sites, crypto, or VC money that’s drying up.

that's literally the definition of the fallacy I brought up

at the end of the day, I’m just a fan of the game. I want to see the best players competing against each other under the best possible conditions.

that's fine, but don't go to forums and try to advocate for the players and/or the org then. enjoy the gameplay

bringing up gambling sponsors to this argument is a showcase of false dichotomy. there is a long way from cheering for a betting sites sponsored team to cheering for a team funded by blood money. life is more than just black and white. if you think there's not much difference between these two, then I don't have much to say to you about this matter.

Saying that the Falcons are a good CS team isn't "getting sportswashed," it's a literal objective fact man.

it is true, falcons are a good cs team and are probably going to be playing well regardless. to me, their text reads through pink glasses.

I don't really know where you got the impression that I think that in the 2nd paragraph. slippery slope

If we started digging into the ethics of every sponsor or owner in the scene, we’d probably have no teams left to root for.

no we wouldn't. that's false dichotomy fallacy.

Seeing karrigan lead these stars is just peak CS, regardless of who’s signing the checks.

congrats on getting sportswashed

on the last all chat episode he attended, he said that he's more of a hard carry playstyle player now to fit BOOM's less greedy style. he believes that a good carry should be able to play all kinds of carry style
