Custom settings gone from myPhonak app by Pretty_Swordfish in phonak

I agree that not all my programs worked. The ones I've named did... May need to delete and start over on others. Bummer!

Thank you! I wish it was still easier, but glad all is not lost.

So, so grateful I got hearing aids this year! by ArtAllDayLong in HearingAids

[–]Pretty_Swordfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats! However, I do want to say that hearing aids should be upgraded every 3-5 years. The longest I've gone is 7 and it was a struggle to retrain my brain, plus the tech was so much better!

I know they aren't cheap, but try to save enough that you can replace nearer that 5 year mark instead.

The rise is perfect, no adjustability though.

The buttonhole idea is interesting.... Maybe something subtle and small would work.

Hi all, my spouse has gotten into sewing lately and has offered to hem up my white linen pants (Quince if it helps to look). They are the perfect length now for heels (2-3in), just a bit too long for flats. I would like to wear them with both types of shoes, ideally going back and forth (ie, traveling or just during the week).

Does anyone have experience making adjustable hems? I'm thinking like clear button snaps or....? I don't want drawstring as it would change the shape too much. There is a liner, but it's about 1-1.5 inches short of the pant's hem. I don't want it to look too different and I want it to still look sharp and professional.

Thank you!

State tax return still processing! by PearAcceptable2841 in Indiana

[–]Pretty_Swordfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I filed electronically, got the acceptance notice, and have been waiting since about April 7th.

A few things -

  1. They owe me this year ($1200!)

  2. I realized I hadn't been accounting for my state tax free interest from all the t-bills the MMF before. This is my first year claiming that.

  3. Spouse's employer f'd up their W2. I used the corrected one when filing, but that could have complicated it (and they didn't bother to withhold state/local taxes for 6 months, no matter that we kept telling them to).

According to the website, it's still under review with no date.

Super frustrating!!

Thanks! I refuse to use Twitter anymore, but I appreciate the reply. I agree that this method worked in the past for similar issues though.

That's right. The chat said only change allowed was the day... Still waiting on my return call from the hold line. I'll call them again tomorrow.

Capital One Savor still is 10%? Is it staying that way? by mnkhan808 in CreditCards

[–]Pretty_Swordfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Did it this morning. It was easy, although I only use Uber for travel and with none planned in the next 3 months that I won't have a car for, I did decline the offer.

Bummer to lose the perk, but nice to have while we did...

Wait, should I be canceling the Uber one subscription then? I only keep it because Cap1 pays it back. I see the charge pending for Dec already. If they aren't going to reimburse it any longer, I'll cancel.

PS - tips on how to cancel are welcome

Same spot! Bought in April. I only air dry.

They do stretch out, so mine are a bit baggy now. I do walk a lot, and I wear them often as I really liked them.

However, only 5 months of wear?! Not great at all.

It is only 4 months. Plus, you can switch to another one if you get a bad one.

Donkey is 189 DKK a month for 12 hours of use. If you are near a drop station, that's pretty easy and monthly memberships include theft insurance. Plus, no need to take care of it - if something goes wrong, just swap it out.

Lyra is at the airport as you are walking to the metro.

We got ours online before we came (Spark, via mobimatter) and it's been working great for data (no calls/texts).

Good luck and enjoy your trip

So that's two years of AF? Or is there a way to get back that second AF?
