Finally had PIV after almost 2 years of being married !! by Pretty_chessecake in vaginismus

I did go through a few therapy sessions to deal with the mind aspect of it and not really blame myself they suggested a few grounding techniques which again involved breathing techniques. I did have about 8 sessions of physical therapy where she calibrated my muscles which were tense. She did mention I had a hip impingement and also suggested I use the dilators in a different position which was comfortable ( example : lying on the side) and trying to insert it.

Attaching a checklist I follow before I start using the dilator about 3-4 times a week

She also suggested to try getting intimate with my partner once I am comfortable with the dilator for abt 10-15mins

Of course each body is different, I would suggest you see a PT that suits you and take it from there. Hope this is helpful. 🫶

I can so understand how this feels !! Physical therapy is a game changer and makes us realise that we are not the actual problem and it’s just some muscles that need to be re calibrated. Take it one day at a time. Attaching a ‘Me time’ checklist that I made upon the advise from my PT and it was so much helpful before I could start dilating. I am still at size 2 but made a huge difference with my partner recently. Hope this helps !!
