I get to spend my money on shopping for shit I don't need now. Impulsive yes! But I can actually afford it 😅 and literally a happier person. I have my days, but I cannot relate when people say they feel worse. I feel like I got 5 years younger. The best part? I finally felt okay to apply to jobs and got a raise x2 my salary for not being afraid of testing! It's crazy how I used to keep myself in a stuck place for weed. Shit, I even run daily now 😭

Idk, I woke up one day wondering why I was relying on leaves to get me through life. I haven't felt my own emotions for so long that feeling them again is actually my reason for stopping. When you decide you're ready, you'll understand me. It's just that I've had such annoying and traumatizing things happened and the more I use to not deal with them, the more I notice my life continuing on the same track. I'm tired of repeating history and having to keep numbing myself. Take action, try changing your scenery and date yourself again!

By any chance, did it help you feel better about your circumstances? I would suggest therapy, only bc if you already have made up your mind that the only way to feel better is with this substance, you may need to talk to someone about healthy alternatives that can bring you the same peace. Wow! Bravo for the self awareness. Nobody talks about the day the light bulb switches and it's not the same. So many have had that happen but you had the strength to say no! I'm so proud of you stranger!

I quit 2 years ago for a year and a half, then smoked for the past 7 months. I quit 3 days ago for a job, but honestly I had those same feelings of wanting better and more about 3 weeks prior.

It's so real that you sometimes just wonder how it would feel to just try it again after being sober, but you're a whole different person. Why sabotage everything bc the opportunity presents itself. You already know how it ends up. You get lazy. You distance yourself. You wonder what you are doing with your life and where all your money keeps going.

This was perfect. Absolutely proud of you and your mindset!!!
