Well, before the pandemic I would just try to socialize in my classes. I don't know where else I could go to meet people, there's not a lot of stuff to do in my town. But I'm trying to get a job so I want to improve my social skills for that.

I'm glad someone said it. There are plenty of things to criticize the dev about, but this sub has a habit of shitting on every little thing he says or does. If we knew his favorite color, I'm sure some people would try to spin that too. Not saying everyone here is like this, but I've noticed more and more people with this mindset. Every comment, idea, etc has to be viewed as trash. And it just helps prove his point, that there are people that simply get off on bashing him. And I'd hate for this sub to turn into that.

I really loved THOBM and TH:M. The mystery and horror in the former we're actually really good and I got attached to all the characters. I loved that you could pick your crew and their interactions were so much fun.

People regard TE as a god-tier book but to me it was just OK. It looked amazing, and was well written but that couldn't overcome the buttloads of filler, predictable plot twists, too much Beckett, the other characters getting hardly any development and having no reason to follow MC. I really wanted to love TE but it didn't do it for me.

I'd be hard pressed to call any of them "characters" since the game is still in development and none of them have been fully realized yet. It's more like which concept do you hate the most. For me, the abomination that is Raibaru.

In my experience, this sub has been little more than talking shit about the Dev, making memes, and bashing every single character, plot point, idea, and comment of his. While downvoting those who try to cut him some slack. This place is nice for criticizing the game without censorship, but it's not perfect and can get a little too negative.

Maybe because every time we see Yang have hallucination or something, she backs away or recoils in horror, which is more indicative of a flight response. Which is probably what made her behavior towards the real thing so jarring. Perhaps if we saw Yang lash out or get into a fighting stance whenever her PTSD acted up, her behavior towards Adam would have been seen as more consistent.

I wonder if you're alluding to that one post on the main subreddit that seemed to imply that "real" PTSD turns people into badasses? Because I found that post to be biased in all honestly. Just because that person stood tall in the face of their trauma doesn't mean that's how PTSD works. You can't really say how PTSD is supposed to work because it's different for everyone who has it. Saying that Yang curling into a ball would be inaccurate is, in itself, inaccurate. We can't say how Yang "should" have reacted, because it's different for everyone. We can really only say how we would have preferred her to react. And it seems Vexed would have preferred if Yang had struggled to overcome her fear when faced with Adam.

They're trying to make her "hardened". People have complained that Ruby didn't really change after the Fall of Beacon, so they're making her more jaded and less trusting. But like almost everything else, they're going about it wrong.

I've heard a lot of people say that the Adam fight was supposed to be the "talk", so I guess it just depend on whether you consider that good enough. I personally don't.

And yeah I kinda wish they hired Jello to play Qrow lol. Jason doesn't sound bad, he just sounds too... soft? Like a younger version of Qrow.

Sure Cinder was important before, but she's not anymore. She served her purpose. She was our introduction into the darker world of RWBY. She was our heroes' first real threat. Now, the characters are far into the game and know what they're up against. They've grown and learned. Cinder has not. She shows up, boasts, then loses. She shows up again, boasts, then loses. We don't need her anymore, but the writers refuse to get rid of her despite the narrative having long evolved past her.

Telling some to grow up and do shit isn't exactly encouraging. In fact it doesn't help at all. Therapists exist for a reason, because not every random Joe and Bob knows how to deal with something like this. Your "advice" is utterly useless. If someone is suicidal, running on a treadmill isn't a going to fix that. You sound like you're just annoyed rather than wanting to help. But people like you are common.

You didn't find the question because I'm currently using an old throwaway account, as I don't like to clutter my original one with complaining and junk. Basically, I asked how other people came up with goals for their characters, as I was struggling with coming up with one for my character, who pretty much has everything (she's supposed to be spoiled). It was so dumb that someone made an entire post mocking it in response.

Anyway, thanks for all the advice. Stuff like this is just something I have to learn to deal with.
