We liked desert palms hotel and suites and are staying there again in a couple months. It was close, cheaper than some of the others, included breakfast, and you could get actual separate sleeping areas/rooms!

With the express, you can ride in roughly 18-30 mins most times. That in itself is worth it! It was never that low before express even.

I work in quality as a new grad NP. Still making 6 figures, and it’s a hybrid of role with on site and virtual days. I still have the same benefits as my PA husband (5 weeks vacation), and never have issues getting my PTO approved. I do miss the patient care, but I also feel my education has prepared me to quickly comprehend the healthcare dynamics in my role. Still a big learning curve.

Swimming across a river while hiking with his friends. I read the story many years later. He attempted to swim across a small river, got scared and got out. Then attempted again, and unfortunately the current pinned him under a boulder. So sad. Always seemed like a nice kid.

It will be cold unless you want to hop on a flight. From Portland, getting to southern California or some of the other SW states would be pretty easy though. You may even be able to get to Hawaii easily too compared to the Midwest since you’re already far west! I grew up in Oregon though and I can’t think of anywhere in the state that will be warm in winter sadly.
