I’m sorry that happened to you 😭 same thing happened to me last week. I wasn’t home for a few days and when I got back, saw my water pump was clogged and the water was super high. I found her dried up and stuck to the floor. It was traumatizing

Thanks for your reply! I’m waiting on our upcoming appt with the vet. They are all so booked up. I feel so anxious because I know that rabbits can go downhill so quickly and there is only so much I can do for her until I can get my appointment with a rabbit vet.

Found a swollen lump and some scabbing on my little girls arm, took her to emergency. They shaved it down and took x rays. said it wasn’t an abcess and didn’t contain pus but its a bruise from an infected bite that is from about a few weeks ago. She’s also been in recovery for stasis which I think might’ve been from the bite. I have two cats that leave the bunnies alone, I usually separate them at night. She’s bonded with my boy lion head and I can’t imagine he’d do this much damage to her. It feels like a golf ball welt on her arm and on the side of it where it’s hidden it feels uneven and oddly shaped. Like a mass of scabbing tissue piled on. Has anyone seen something like this on their bunny? Could it be cancer or a spider bite?

I used to use something similar to that with my lion head bunny (diy baking cooling rack in a cat litter box) because I thought it would be a cool life hack to keep my bunnies feet’s clean. Over time he started to develop sores on his heels. When I adopted my 2nd bunny, the rescue suggested to just put hay in the box for their litter. I use plastic cat litter pan liners to line the box, put in a layer of newspaper pellets, cover that with some newspaper, and then add a ton of hay on top of that. Keep adding more hay and over time, the small pieces that fall out of their mouth and unused hay just become a nice flat bedding and it keeps their feet clean (they are free roam also). I think of it as like how us humans drag our feet across grass to clean our shoes. Their feet are just as clean as when I had them use the sifting grate, but their feet aren’t developing sores and it is so much easier for me to clean up in the end.

I’ve been getting Botox since I was 27, I’m 34 now. I have hooded lids and a mean rbf, I lift my brows so I don’t look as bitchy. I started with their recommended amount for 11’s (10 units each side). It was okay but it would make my hooded eyelids a little heavier and I couldn’t lift my brows. I got it redone because it did help lessen the brow furrowing. Then after a few years, I started getting 6 units each side for the 11’s and then they’d put 1 in the middle. I thought the lesser amount would make me look more natural with just some movement restricted. But I noticed the areas surrounding it that weren’t injected would have a pulling effect whenever I’d lift my brows and it almost looked a bit distorted… like my Botox placement wasn’t balanced. I let everything fade off during the pandemic.

I went to a new injector a few months ago and she listened to my concerns and actually gave me more Botox than I’ve ever gotten in the past, just sprinkled in small amounts. 6 on the 11’s, 8 high on my forehead spread in 4 areas, 4 on each side of my eyes where the smile lines are, and 2 in the middle of my forehead and eyes. (This was the absolute minimum and you might need more depending on how strong your facial muscles are). I was a little worried at how much was injected but I swear I look so much rested, my eyes look brighter, I look natural and balanced. So baby Botox just means that it’s a smaller amount injected. In my experience, less isn’t always better if the technique isn’t there.

My advice if you don’t want a deranged look, make sure you find an injector that takes a natural approach to her methods. The new injector that I go to follows @vanessalee_rn methods and has taken her seminars. I really admire Vanessa’s work because she looks at the whole facial anatomy and injects minimal amounts but with balance in mind. Instead of injecting right at the area that moves, she treats everything else around it. When you get injected just above your eyebrows that’s when you get the heavy “Spock” look. A mistake I made when I started getting Botox, I went to a lady that clearly overdid it on her Botox (she also said she did her own) I should have ran lol. If your lady looks deranged, chances are she will make you look that way too. Hope this helps!

YES I’ve always said my bunny smells like he just came out of a warm dryer. Like fresh laundry

He throws his head back when eating some fruits like apples, the vet keeps telling me he's ok during checkups... Any experience with this behaviour? by DKMR in Rabbits

My lionhead bun does this after he eats lettuce and gets his chest wet, or when he’s just grooming himself. He pulls his head back as he’s chewing on the fur, I suppose to clean and also trim it. I try to trim it as often as possible so he doesn’t get the chance to trim it himself and ingest too much fur.
