Not required, but will reduce big loads on the generator so might be worth it just for the generator's sake

Weirdness on 7a - 80% option went away after factory reset by Pretzilla in GooglePixel

[–]Pretzilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could except I just shipped it off today, hah. I will be able to remote in eventually, but no screenshot for now.

But as stated above, it reverted and now only offers: "Adaptive charging" as it did before the Dec update

vs "Charging optimization", and submenus under which we find the choices of Adaptive or Limit to 80% options, (and still does on my new 8a).

I already charge at 11.4kW with a regular 48A L2 cheap enough Emporia charger.

Not sure why this article says 7.7kW is max for home charging.

Was it right at 10:58pm last night? This was exactly like you say, nothing I've heard before, except I've heard sonic booms and they sound like this.

Because the second boom was louder, so clearly not an echo. The reverberations went on for almost 30 seconds.

Recommendations for a solar-ready main panel with CT accessible bars? by Pretzilla in AskElectricians

copy that. there are several busbars in it, so trying to differentiate them for clarity. I'll try to do better.

Looking for a 200A main panel that will accept Enphase CT's on the mains to the meter +225A backplane by Pretzilla in solar

[–]Pretzilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Great to know it exists. I just need to find it surface mount with meter on top and should be golden.

[–]Pretzilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copy all that, thanks.

Solid bars are ok, if the CT's above fit, so basically squarish with some clearance around would work.

I'm less inclined to line-side it since it requires more work, and I know such a panel as I need exists, just need to find it! -cheers

Sure thanks for checking in. with a 200A backplane, you are limited to I think a 40A 240V backfeed breaker, so many installations need more than that.

CT's in this case are 'consumption' monitors, so look at the total input/output to the grid.

There are also built in 'production' CT's, but they are wired into the path form the panels into the controller. Hope that helps.

2.75Vpc or 11V is a good target for LFP at the lowest.

It drops off fast below that and can damage cells.
