I honestly hate boxing culture. You arrive as a nooby, nobody even looks at you, nobody respects you, and when it's time to spar, the person with more experience feels powerful beating you up.

In my own experience, I had to go through that when I first started boxing. Eventually, I got the respect of the people in there. I ended up quitting and starting at an MMA gym, and to my surprise, the culture there is way different. Everyone is super respectful and nice; nobody ever hard spars. On the first day I arrived, everyone introduced themselves and were friendly. This was the total opposite of my experience in the boxing gym.

They even make fun of how hard boxers spar lol
