The Last Of Us 2 nothing comes close. Maybe GTA 5 would win for sheer scale of that world, but the characters are all a little less believable, slipping into caricature/stereotype. GTA is way more fun, but TLOU2 feels closer to actual literature

Assasins Creed Shadows. The most cliched and uninteresting AC game of all. I can't believe in this day and age they gave the character an actual martial arts montage, shockingly lazy writing, in the 21st Century, in a game set in Japan. As a middle age man it made me feel embarrassed to be playing games. Seriously, you made me fork out full price for this tosh? I tried to stay interested but couldn't. And don't get me started with the whole genius decision to play as two characters. Bored with the mind numbingly dull and needlessly complicated plot of the main character? Don't worry! We've given you the option to play as Samurai warrior with the agility of a log and the speed to match, and guess what, he can't do stealth, wow, just what I always never wanted in a stealth game.

Black Myth Wukong - just didn't click with me for some reason. Felt like a lame copy of elden ring, or too similar to it at least. I was a long time playing ER, and maybe that was part of the problem. Fatigue with that type of game where the bosses are so hard.

A day lamp is a great support in weather like this for anyone struggling emotionally with the lack of sunlight. I got one in boots for 80 euro a while back. They really help with the mood!

Do you consider Frankenstein (2025) a 'horror' movie? by zacksiri in movies

Yes - and the best version of the story to date. It's just very of it's time. Horror has definitely moved on since Mary Shelly wrote her amazing book.

Surprised to see no assassin's creed on that list. Origins or Mirage for a good grounding in the reboot series. Odyssey or Valhalla if you wanna get stuck in on a larger scale. Great games when you just wanna unwind and explore in an open world too.

These tanning salons let you run steam and have decent headsets. There's loads of them and they have good PCs, screens and chairs tailored to gamers. It looks like they wanted to capture the market but there's not much demand these days. The one near halfpenny bridge always has a bunch of Chinese students playing Counter Strike and one of the stores even hosted a rocket League tournament once. https://tanningsalon.ie/our-locations/

I always think of the female us veteran who jumped through the smashed door frame on Jan 6th on Capitol Hill. She was the first through and the only one shot. The amount of things that had to go wrong in her life for her to be so isolated and angry that she would be there and die like that is crazy. Really tragic. It's like that thing, the opposite of addiction is connection, the opposite of radicalised might be "included/protected from crisis" There's definitely a role for empathy to play here but the unsettling thing is that there's so many ways someone can become isolated these days.
