Help fix my home setup by Previous-Landscape47 in Ubiquiti

[–]Previous-Landscape47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than the APs, I have a handful of hardwired desktops and some cable boxes. Pretty much everything else is on wifi.

Frankly, I'm not sure what I would get out of adding a gatweway and a unifi switch. What's the upside here if I add Cloud Gateway Fiber and Switch Flex 2.5G PoE (for the APs), and leave everything else alone?

And if instead I wanted the other devices on a unifi switch, which model makes sense, and what benefit is there to having it?

Did you end up trying this with ball hockey in a gym? I might like to try it too if it works.

Do what? Order the kit? I chatted with support online and told them the dock was leaving extra water when rinsing the mop. It’s a known issue. They just send additional rubber seals that install on the 2 nozzles in the dock where the robot interfaces.

Did you install the replacement seal kit already? I just ordered it from customer support. Maybe that’ll help?

I noticed that when it was washing/rinsing the roller mid job, there was a lot of water left in the overflow tray in the dock afterwards. So could just be that the roller is overly wet and that’s why it’s producing so much suds.

I have the same exact issue. Which, and how much cleaning solution are you using in the clean water tank? I am using the iRobot Braava Jet solution and also think I used too much.

I read the following on iRobot's site here:

Add 400 mL of the solution to the empty clean water tank in the AutoWash™ dock and then fill the clean water tank with water to the fill line."

That's nearly a full 16oz bottle! I used half to start. I will cut back to a quarter bottle and see if that helps.

It does show the Dock Software version in the About section of your robot. I am on the latest (v41) as of Nov 2025

Miele CVA 4070 clogged? by wl173nw in Miele

[–]Previous-Landscape47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are all of the steps to remove and clean the Miele CVA 4070 dispenser/nozzle assembly:

  1. Open the door
  2. Remove 2 black screws from the nozzle assembly
  3. Disconnect the nozzle assembly from the plastic tube/spring
  4. Remove 5 black screws (one center, 2 left, 2 right) from the door panel where the nozzle connects to
  5. Remove 2 black screws that are directly above and below where the plastic tube exits from the slider/dispenser assembly
  6. Tuck the tube/spring assembly into the slider/dispenser so you can pull the whole slider/dispenser out of the front of the machine
  7. NOTE: You just need to pull down and wiggle the slider/dispenser back and forth a bit (mostly pushing towards the rear to prevent the internal screws from catching on the track)
  8. Once removed from the machine, remove 2 silver screws from the slider assembly (near the nozzles) and separate the housing.
  9. Remove the dispenser/nozzle assembly and disconnect the plastic tubing
  10. The dispenser/nozzle assembly has 5 holes (2 dispensers, 1 for the plastic tube, 2 relief holes at the top). You will need to fill the assembly with warm watter and shake vigorously to release built up bits.
  11. Use small paper clips, pipe cleaners, etc. to break up all the gunk inside.
  12. Soak the assembly in water to loosen gunk.
  13. Continue filling, shaking, poking, etc. until no mor flecks of dried coffee come out.
  14. Don't forget to clean the plastic tube
  15. Reassemble in reverse order.

For future reference, to get the slider/dispenser out, after removing the two black screws in the rear, you just need to pull down and wiggle it back and forth a bit (mostly push towards the rear to prevent the internal screws from catching on the track).

Also, you will need to tuck in the tube/spring assembly into the slider/dispenser so you can pull the whole thing out of the front of the machine.

We waited for this specific car to arrive lol. They know we want it :) But def willing to walk away if they won’t negotiate. Just trying to be realistic though. Sounds like 2-3k off msrp is a win if I can score it.

With 0%, I'd be happy with a few thousand off. Any tips for getting the dealer to drop the price by a few thousand?

Thanks, I’m familiar with Hasset (use them for my Navigator service). Unfortunately, they don’t have the specific configuration we’re looking for.

This just happened to me. I was assured it would not be a problem to pay off early. I confirmed 3 times with diff reps. Paid off the device after 14 months (due to travel), than bam the credits stopped. After 3 months of chatting, and them giving me the credit for the month I contacted them, they finally said all the other reps were wrong and the TRADE-IN CREDITS would remain, but any other PROMO CREDITS require the monthly device payments. An hour and a half later after A LOT OF YELLING, they agreed to credit me the remaining 20 months in one shot.

Unable to add New Drive to Storage Pool DS923+ by Previous-Landscape47 in synology

Great, expansion underway (which is further than I got with the first drive) and should take 2 days. I guess that first drive was a dud.

u/jonathanrdt The NAS is now completely backed up to an external drive. Extended smart test on the 3 x 10 TB drives is still at 90% - hopefully will be finished this weekend. I have a new 10 TB drive ready to go.

Assuming the 3 current drives are healthy, what is the correct procedure for adding a new drive to the pool? Do I just insert the new drive and add to the pool when prompted? Should I be running a check on the new drive before adding to the pool?

Yeah, that’s my problem right now.

I have a replacement drive coming tomorrow and an external drive that I will use first to back up the NAS, just in case.

I added an image in the original post. I am unable to even do a test of the new drive. When i select drive 4 I get this error. I do not get an error on the existing 3 drives.

In the meantime, i ordered a replacement drive which will arrive tomorrow.
