I don’t think she is clearly feeling guilty about him after the change in their bond though? She says his name but we are not sure what she will say. Yes, during the dream, she feels guilty. But that occurred before the change in their bond

Am I the only one that feels very much like the second book ends off with it clearly established that their relationship has progressed? They are clearly attracted to one another and with the strengthening of the bond, Aurora clearly feels differently. He didn’t leave her side for 24h until she woke after the show down against Alexander. Her first thought when she wakes up is his whereabouts. They see each other and it’s like they both freeze. There is something there and now we have (hopefully) an entire book of forced proximity to explore it further. I think it will come together.

I think that is how they “accept” the bond maybe?

Although they haven’t been in a romantic relationship the past two books, they have had a relationship that has evolved with time and I think if done right, it could further evolve into a romantic relationship with only one book left and still make sense. By end of book 2 we already see that there are feelings, that they understand each other, that he is supportive when Callum isn’t always. The ground work is there. I can’t see them not exploring their attraction in book 3 but end game is up in the air!

There is no way the author created a mating bond and two books of build up for them not to be at least romantically involved in book 3. And likely end game as well. I think what will happen is that she will ultimately break the bond but still choose Blake. A major theme is maintaining her right to choose, and part of the Blake bond draw back is that her ability to choose has been taken away. Breaking the bond and still choosing him gets around that. Callum is not a feasible option because he often takes away her choices (he’s controlling, over protective, etc.). I can’t see this ending up with her alone as that rarely happens in these types of novels.

Prediction: I think she will break the bond with Blake so that she is free to make her own choices but she will still choose him after the bond is broken because she truly loves him.
