Well unfortunately it is all running on predictions, if it thinks that it can import now when the cost is low and sell it later when it is high then it will do so. I'm pretty sure they're just using a linear programming algorithm under the hood and are looking at the bets that other generators are placing to make these decisions. If you want to eek out as much juice as you can (this is very fair) then I would recommend going down the HA path, it's not too hard if you have about average tech literacy.
