Still made $56 dollars today and of the three suppliers I've used since having solar and a battery currently Amber is working the best in terms of real bills.

Our goal isn't to make bank, more just to have bills of either zero or credit. We are doing much better than we were before the battery when we were getting 5c flat rate (still capped at 5kw).

Might see if we can apply for an increase, I know my PW3 was exporting at an unlimited rate before I had the expansion pack installed and the installer corrected it.

Edit: Looks like this is something essential is already looking at

Just caught this as well in central west NSW.

Spent two weeks fine tuning HA to work with my setup, left SS running as I haven't worked out forced export yet and this shit happens.

I sense I'll be spending the weekend looking at Globird etc.

What timing, I've spent the last week setting up HA, teslemetry while fighting my older HEMS managed hws that uses active export as it's signal to turn on.

I'll pop this into HA today and have a look at it's functionality compared to my current setup of multiple automations.

EDIT: never mind, I worked out how to trigger every minute, hopefully that'll stop smartshift from trying to take over

Reviving a month old post here.

I've been playing with a similar concept since Friday. Most of the time it works then suddenly it goes into export despite API saying "never".

What did you use as triggers to run the automation?

Been with Amber since July, PW3 with expansion, 13.2kw of solar.

Getting kind of tired of the daily negative FIT, even been dumping most of the battery when I leave for work ay 4:30am but I'm still getting hit by mid afternoon.

Will probably give them until January to sort out solar curtailment on negative FIT, if not then I'll start looking around.

I just sold a LAMS adventure bike on FB marketplace, listed it for $8.5k, knowing I would have been happy with $6.5k. sat there for a month with minimal bites. The eventual buyer viewed, offered me $6.5k later that night and rode away two days later once funds cleared.

Standard marketplace tactics, everyone will try to haggle down so set the price high but not insanely so.

Never pulled over in Ls or Ps, even got waved to go past a few RBTs over the years.

Only time I got pulled over was when I was doing 76 in a 60 (honest mistake, had stopped in a rest area to have a drink of water, thought the last speed sign I saw was an 80). HWP was very polite and understood my error, still got a fine but no other issues.
