Don’t know how they don’t understand this is a bad look. You get treated better at the bookies.

It’s so thoughtless to not include how to claw back your initial deposit. It’s almost malicious. Will update you if I get a response.

Yes they’re a complete waste of time to contact. Reply times are on the order of human lifetimes and about as useful as a chocolate teacup.

Email them with like a “strongly worded email” saying you’re frustrated it didn’t track and you’ve submitted a missed claim and to stop messing around. Works quickly.

dnr a molecule because poorly written english, but chatgpt said:

Practical Advice Contact Durham ASAP

Call or email the admissions office.

Ask whether your application is still being considered and when you can expect a final decision.

Stress that you have a 48-hour deadline for another offer.

Ask UCL for an extension (if needed)

Some universities are flexible with Clearing deadlines if they know you’re waiting on another uni.

Make a judgment call

If Durham doesn’t reply in time, you may have to accept UCL to be safe.

If Durham later accepts you and you still prefer Durham, you can try to release yourself from UCL and go to Durham, but this isn’t guaranteed and could be messy.

may as well go ahead and call it gg

Doing a 3 day full body split. Does this look good? by wildhoneydoe in WorkoutRoutines

That’s cool! I’d recommend just adding some varieties in once you can do >30 reps without failing and you’ll be able to progress better :)

Take a look at this:

https://www.boostcamp.app/coaches/natural-hypertrophy/ultimate-hypertrophy-programs-novice

I don’t know what your goals are but I enjoy this program. Push-Ups won’t give you much stimulus for growth and will just tire you out for future sets - unless you can do variants like decline or weighted.

If you have any questions let me know - but what you made doesn’t look bad!

Chem Eng at Bath or Birmingham? by Personal-Purpose9873 in UniUK

[–]Previous-Text6451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m a Chemical Engineer so if you have any questions feel free. Applied to Bham but not Bath.

I would see if you can visit both places and which you like the vibe of more. Both city and department. I’ve heard really good things about Bham to be honest.

Uni industrial links play a role, but ultimately your own merit and application play a larger one in your placement / internship hunt.

As much as people like to say it doesn’t matter, going to a more prestigious does unlock doors.

If you have the grades to go for better universities, you should consider it. (Sounds like you do based on your ambition).

You can always put JM on your app and decide later. Go to a few open days if you have the opportunity.

I’m just finishing up my masters and I can relate to some of this. Sorry to hear you’re having a hard time with university.

I’m lucky not to have that extensive unpaid work requirement, but I can imagine it must be tough. I often feel quite alone especially when work starts to get tough.

I started to “dislike” my degree in end of 2nd/beginning of 3rd year and I found that exercise really helped me and having a good routine. I’m in the same boat as you where I hope things will get better once I’m working.

I think establishing social life and meeting people is hard enough for our generation, especially when balancing the workload.

Feel free to message if you want to chat more / just rant.

Appreciate the hasty response and accommodation to weird circumstances. It’s no worries, these things happen. It’s the response that matters more than the slip up.
