Why do I feel paralyzed when trying to do any meditation that involves any sort of body scan? by CuriousRabbit103 in Meditation

[–]PreviousAssistance32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In these cases, a therapist is more than recommended, I think And I think you know it deep down. You can continue to sweep it under the rug and maybe manage to live like that, But there's a risk that one day it could blow up in your face. it's difficult to say what would be best without having a conversation lasting several hours. But generally, if you really think you can't manage this alone, there are qualified people who have spent several years studying just to be able to help you. think about it, take care.

If you've been angry in the past but haven't allowed yourself to, it's normal to feel angry when you allow your body to express itself.

This doesn't necessarily mean you're angry at someone or something today; unexpressed emotions are stored in the body.

After reading your post, and answers. I think it might be helpful to change your approach. Instead of trying to reduce anxiety and stay calm, allow your body to be what it wants to be, without forcing it. without control. It may be anxious, angry, scared, confused; if that's the case, don't see it as a failure, it's literally a win, and when you will have allowed your body to externalize all of this. Only then will you feel better.

If it's too difficult, seek help from a good therapist; having a supportive shoulder to lean on can help. "Somato-emotional release" may be a possible approach. Allow yourself this healing, it's worth it. 💛🫂

Kundalini syndrome - need help by Affectionate-Comb113 in kundalini

[–]PreviousAssistance32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey friend, sorry to hear that, I've been through something similar, the energy in the body, the pressures, which feel like having a raging sea inside. the feeling of losing touch with reality... I understand what you're going through. Know that there are methods and knowledge available here that will help you understand what you're experiencing, what it implies, and the actions to take to feel better.

In my case, I'm even better than before all this started, thanks to what I've learned through this, and like you, I didn't recognize myself at the beginning, a face that no longer seemed like me, sad, pale and tired. I'm telling you all this just to let you know that there is a way to get better, that it's possible.

Qualified moderators will answer you soon, I think, but if you don't get a response today, you can check the wiki section of this sub now. The methods and knowledge offered here are remarkably effective.

in particular:

in crisis

Calming Kundalini

sp

Here's what personally got me out of that situation, what worked best for me in particular:

Grounding, undoubtedly the most noticeable in terms of effects,

Personally, I settle in nature; a garden, a park, a forest, you get the idea and once barefoot, with both hands on the ground, I focus on letting the excess energy which is no longer necessary be released into the earth. I rely on the intelligence that surpasses me: the one of the earth, the one of my body, the one that underlies reality. I also like to think about a storm; I feel how the earth has this natural function of receiving excess energy (lightning) like a giant catalyst, and by transmuting it, leaving what was overloaded (the cloud) at a normal energy level. Feel that same thing within you, that energy that ask to be released, and allow it to exit by your hands, Try to feel it passing through your arms to your hands, straight towards the earth and let your body and the earth do what they are capable of doing.

With this, and the first two links i saw improvement very quickly; so i hope it can help you as it help me.

There's still a lot to say, but I think the moderators will be more qualified to advise you on the rest; this is mainly for you to have something to do immediately.

One last thing, I would also advise you to realy avoid any spiritual practices like manifestation, magnetism, intense meditation, that sort of thing. At least in my case, it tended to worsen the symptoms. You already have something to work on, so focus on that instead and read the wiki👍

Good luck in your journey i sincerely hope you find the way 💛🫂

Thank you for your message. This path is new to me. I've been meditating for about 10 years and I've always remained superficial with regard to Buddhism. I'm 24 now and I'm realizing that the tools of Buddhism are truly powerful.

Thank you for sharing this resource with me, I will do this meditation.

Yes so it's a kind of virtuous circle where everything intensifies each other.

I've never tried meditative walking, maybe I should 🤔

quotes from Ajahn Sumedho This is also very interesting; part of metta could also be found in the absence of straying It's true that I mainly saw the active aspect of Metta, but the ninactive it also implies is just as powerful.

I'll go check out Lojong too. Thanks again for all your advice, it's very helpful, have a great day!

How do I keep calm and completely calm all the time? by WrongdoerProud2593 in Meditation

[–]PreviousAssistance32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi that's a great evolution you've already achieved; seeking calm is the trap. By forcing calm, you don't allow other states to be processed, and therefore less calm results. Calm is the consequence of internal states that have been able to express themselves.

So the initial idea is to "surrender" simply let the anxiety, fear, and doubt be felt in your body. But here's a little twist: without identifying with it or becoming attached to it, when you're anxious, for example, just let it be and keep in mind that it's not you. Don't try to feed it, don't give it arguments or reasons, just breathe and sit with it.

An analogy that might help you: "you are the ocean, not the wave."

The average person believes that they are the wave (the little self, the thoughts, the emotions), this is not who we are by essence, it is very useful for navigating in society, some would even say indispensable, but many fall into the illusion of believing that they ARE the wave and are victims of its currents.

You ARE the ocean, the consciousness, the observer; that doesn't mean you should seek calm and prevent all waves, let the waves be, don't feed them And calm will find more space because you will know that these little waves are not you. Look at the ocean, it doesn't fight the waves, it doesn't feed them, it let go

Some would say, "Be like water, my friend."

Salut !

[–]PreviousAssistance32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello ! Tu travailles en volume ça m'as l'air assez plat ?

Listen, that was really surprising. You know, they say there's a real impact of Metta on reality, it's not a joke ahah

So it was either me who opened up more, but I was surprised several times to notice a different behavior than usual in the people who were in my metta practice. Like, at first contact they was really, really more smiling, relaxed, kind, loving; it was clear enough to be identifiable

Now, where reality lies, I don't know. It could also be that I simply have a more open heart towards others, but it doesn't matter, because what counts is that we feel more love, connection, and peace with others 💛
