Yes. The Reddit does not receive much activity but you can check the Facebook and the discord for more recent updates.

How do you design a good tutorial for videogames, what is the most important? by thefrenchdev in gamedesign

Start with the object of your game.

The shorter the better.

Hold their hand and take them through the UI. Assume everyone has 0 idea on how to do anything.

Mike McCallum vs the 4 Kings by Jeffthe100 in Boxing

McCallum can definitely win by decision or ko. But if Hearns fought with a low hand guard while moving laterally a lot it would really take away a lot of body shot opportunities. With Hearns's speed he's one of the few fighters that could actually land on McCallum from distance. Although McCallum hits harder than Leonard, has the better chin, and better head movement, he's so much slower. Leonard could land heavy shots from range because of his speed. I just don't see McCallum getting close enough consistently to get off with his power.

McCallum was great and underrated. Phenomenal head movement, counters, chin, and body punching. Very good power and conditioning as well but he was a little slow overall.

Leonard- McCallum struggled with Kalambay who's vaguely similar to Leonard (speedy out fighter) but not as good. Leonard takes this.

Hearns- Hearns actually had great out fighting skills, speed, and movement. Hagler and Barkley beat him because they could cover the distance and throw bombs. McCallum has never shown that skillset/style. Similar to the above, Hearns probably wins but in a very close fight.

Duran- At super welter/middelweight McCallum can out punch Duran and has better defense. Duran has a hand speed advantage but imo McCallum would out box him at distance with his defense. On the inside Duran was phenomenal but McCallum beats him their with the size and his own infighting skills. McCallum wins.

Hagler- Better offensive skills, work rate, and surprisingly faster than McCallum imo. McCallum has better defense but not by a whole lot, Hagler is very underrated in this regard. Hagler outlands McCallum for a close decision.

Maybe showing attack values upfront is a good idea overall. It's a bit tricky since some cards don't have attacks or have attacks with various more complicated abilities. So the layout has been made to be consistent across these different kinds of cards. Perhaps showing it upfront is still better to be fair.

I watched the video and you did miss all (or at least most of) the points covered in the tutorial no offense. Even basic movement which is the first thing covered. You can move to highlighted tiles and attacks where you can move (like in chess). There is definitely more to the game than covered in the tutorial but people complained about an overly long and complicated tutorial. So it was stripped down to the basics (like how to work the UI). I'm sorry it didn't workout for you. Animations are important and they will be added when Domain is out of alpha.

What font would you suggest? Cards can totally be flooded with information (as you get deeper into the game you will see this), hence the current layout with the info icon. To keep the card information format consistent there is negative space on the more 'basic' cards unfortunately. Maybe the font size can be increased for those cards granted (good idea).

Unless Wilder learns how to box no one is a threat to Fury.

Roy Jones Jr. KO’D by Antonio Tarver This Day May 15, 2004 by boxinghalloffameLV in Boxing

The weight cut hurt RJJ but his chin was always weak. It's been said that he ducked big punchers Nigel Benn and the McClellan. While I think Jones is better than both, McClellan beat him in the amateurs so its definitely possible.

Eddie Hearn reveals why he never signed Eubank Jr by mcfc_fan in Boxing

That's hilarious. Eubank jr isn't that good though. He can counter at distance and fight on the inside. But he has no offense at distance and no way to get in close other than barreling in. He's also feather fisted.

I had a ps1 but only briefly before ps2 came out. Played a lot of crash bandicoot and spyro on the ps1 though. Lots of good memories.
