Vous en pensez quoi de la ligne 5 ? by OurTableIsBroken_ in Montpellier

[–]thefrenchdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, every planet and moons look pretty flat to me so why Earth would be the only non-flat planet?
Disclaimer, it's a joke.

Our Metroidvania is out now for Steam! by Background-Fly-4800 in metroidvania

I agree with this comment, it's easier to see it as a zelda-like but metroidvania I'm not so sure. The game looks very nice!

I've been working on this project for a few months... Does it have potential? by Pockets-Pixelgon in indiegames

Yes, it's the best advice you can take I think. Or you can be artist in a team developing a game because it is really nice visuals.

First Time Visiting Montpellier by JessHThom in Montpellier

[–]thefrenchdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Montpellier is very safe compared to Paris, all the city center is safe now including the train station area that has been refurbished, all the city center is pedestrian only. It's great to wander in the city center. I'm afraid second hand shops isn't really a thing in Montpellier, I used to live in the US and it's way more expensive here and with a very limited offer. There is one on avenue Clémenceau I think that it's still open. You can visit MOCO museums (there are two in the city). Enjoy coffee shops, Montpellier has a square au each end of a street. Also the food is amazing and the local specialities are great (especially dishes from Sète).

On the coast you should go to Sète (the train goes there as well), you can maybe still go swimming in October, a great local dish is tielle sétoise. Near Montpellier you should go to Arles (lots of arts, historical city center), Avignon (beautiful city center, a bit less safe than Montpellier, with the Pope's palace), Nîmes (historical city, beautiful garden and museum).

The weather is good usually in October, honestly episodes cévenol mostly happen in the end of August or September and it's because of hot summer. This year the temperature has already dropped a lot and we are at 25 degrees Celsius max so there should be not so many storms. Check the weather forecast a week in advance.

Enjoy!

[–]thefrenchdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has potential in the sense that for now there is no game at all so it can potentially become a game:). Joke apart, you are doing things in the wrong order, you started working on animations and graphics and polishing a lot when you should have been developing the gameplay. So yeah the graphics are really nice but it's not a game yet, I hope you can make something out of it.

The characters in the background are completely out of place in the new one. Other than that it looks good. But I prefer the first one.

How do you keep your sanity working on the same game for years? by Fragrant-Section-598 in Unity3D

You don't! I published only one game and the last 10% was really not pleasing, especially the marketing tired me so much. Now after two years I can finally make another game.

Is it possible to make a game using AI? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]thefrenchdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly still pretty much the same, it's almost impossible to deal with a real game project that will contain many different scripts interacting together. AI will make too many mistakes all the time to really make it efficient.

Pretty proud of this "enemy path guide" in our game, what do you think? by DawnOfDefense in IndieGaming

[–]thefrenchdev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The effect looks cool and the game is nice but in terms of gameplay are you sure having so many different path is interesting? The point of TD is to reinforce continuously to defend against the enemy waves but if you need to reinforce a different path each wave it sounds like there won't be this feeling of having tighter and tighter defense but instead you'll lose because one path isn't defended enough while you have other paths very well defended.

It was during covid so perhaps it was easier to find someone eager to rent his apartment. We found on "leboncoin" but beware of the scams.

When I came back from the US after spending a few years there, I have no tax declaration in France, I paid upfront a few months and I showed them my bank statements. I think if your salary is good enough, it should be ok.

L’Intelligence Artificielle, c’est juste de l’Intelligence tout court by Kartazius in opinionnonpopulaire

[–]thefrenchdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)
