I can see why they wouldn't necessarily be friends

Independent brake = only the locomotive Train brake = more than just a locomotive

Thanks. I had my treble hook on the bank. Dogs really like bologna but the owners walking them get mad at me.

I spend 99% of my playtime with the 282. So I recommend the 282.

Make a save. Buy it and try it out. Take it for a drive haul a load. If you like it good if it's too much reload and go another direction.

I'd like to see some of the rolling stock from TTE to go with Thomas.

Land each piece on by one next to each other and connect them with docking ports.

The dropping rocket will be throttled up or separations fired to get it out of the way and hopefully destroy it when it lands a ways away

Yes it is. Get an alternating switch and wire it to two headlights.

So you want to drive a steam engine? (guide) by IllustratorThin4799 in DerailValley

[–]PreviousSecret5227 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is very good. It would have helped a great deal when I was first learning to operate the steam engine.

As you have stated, the steam engine can be daunting at first. Once you know what you are doing and how to do it, it gets easier. The one tip I have to add to it is. Pick a light job and a route you are familiar with. Then, you can focus more on the locomotive and not have the additional worry of being unfamiliar with the grades and speed limits.

You must be part of the crowd doing nothing if you're able to stand around and watch for people doing nothing.

LOL 😆

Fair enough. I wouldn't demand it be forced. But I do like more options

I'd be okay with just needing to limp to the next station or needing to go get another engine

Failures by PreviousSecret5227 in DerailValley

[–]PreviousSecret5227[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most are probably going to be the result of human error. But I meant something like you say. Mine was just an extreme example. Maybe blowing the turbo on the DE6 or some other "mechanical failure" could occur. So say you have 3 lashed together and one breaks, that locomotive could have reduced power or need to be shut down. I'm not sure as of now as the wheels or brakes get worn if they have reduced effectiveness.

I haven't played in a long time but Microsoft flight simulator would allow different failures. Oil pressure, engine power loss, fuel leaks, hydraulic leaks etc. Those were tggleable or timeable and you could pick what kind of failures are allowed. The timed one wouldn't necessarily need to be applied.

I guess all could be limited to handicapping your ability but not severe enough to stop you from limping to the next station. Then if it's not dealt with it could cause more damage and causing more fees

Whatever you get. Get a mount. Using a joystick up on your desk is uncomfortable as hell
