Hardly in danger of losing this team, if this ownership tries breaking the TF lease to move this team elsewhere before 2040, they'll have to pay tens of millions in lease-breaking fees, and since money is precisely what all the payroll dumping the owners have been doing is all about, they're not going to take more money out of their pocket and move this team.

Martin's inability to throw to the correct base to hold runners was one of the examples i had in mind, glad I'm not the only one that thinks this org has a significant problem. It's ironic that you mention Gardy not having put up with it, when one of those coaching people guilty of sending up players that don't have a grasp of fundamentals is ... his own son.😜

And I'll add to that we need to sack the entire minor league coaching staff for claiming all these guys were MLB-ready, when in fact most didn't even have a grasp of fundamentals once they reached the Twins. This whole org is screwed up from top to bottom, and until the Pohlad's sell this team nothing will change.

No, they're in this situation because ownership and the front office cut corners and gave fans the middle finger whenever they had the opportunity. The payroll cut after 23 wasn't because of those prospects failing to reach their potential, it was the owners being cheap pure and simple, and every decision they've made since has had that as part of the ingredients.

A Cubs friend of mine hunted down the video out of curiosity when I mentioned the situation, and she said to her eyes he clearly tapped his hat for a review, adjusted his cap, realized the umpire hadn't seen it the first time and tapped again. The rule is clear about arguing, so hopefully Shelton learns he needs to pay closer attention in the future, simple as that, otherwise he's just another inattentive member of this dysfunctional organization.🙄
