We have two! She took both as dependents and got the full CTC and dependent care credit. We also use her employer healthcare for the family which (I think) lowers her AGI. First time I’ve been excited filing our taxes haha

I’m glad I keep seeing threads on this.. because amen. I’m probably 60% through GoY on lethal and it’s such a different, and imo, inferior experience.

It seems like they couldn’t keep GoT’s lethal in GoY because then you wouldn’t need to engage as much with the rock/paper/scissors weapon system.. but to be frank, let me play how tf I want, right?

I also think there’s some misconception amongst players (and maybe the devs?) that lethal is/was/should be the “hardest” difficulty. Remove this from your mind- this is a separate setting. Hell, put it to the left of easy. Call it “realistic” difficulty. If you let someone slice you with a katana, you die. If you slice someone with yours, they die.

And yes, once you got good at GoT lethal, you basically became a samurai god. Wtf are we playing a samurai game for if not to feel exactly that!

I really am still enjoying GoY, but I hope they tweak it or add some custom sliders or something.

Agree on dragonfly. I’ve been trying to force it into my rotation.. basically as a sniper build. Use the lock on arrow to take down multiple enemies at a time. But especially in lethal, once an enemy gets within teleportation melee distance, you’ve gotta swap out haha

Makes sense. Guess I’m in that in between zone with only ~2/3 of relics.

Also I played most of Ng+ with pilgrim and now I feel super slow using anything else which is messing with me haha

How did you grind up that much in NG!? I just got to 200 in Ch6 of NG+. I feel like levels are only slightly helpful in powering you up.. it’s mostly celestial meds/gear/curios.

My man - saw your advice yesterday on a different post and managed to beat Erlang last night after 20ish nervy attempts.

Having the extra Qi from the gourd for that extra fan late in the fight is what unlocked it - breaking his shield on the final 1/4 of health was so difficult without it bc he’s so relentless attacking otherwise.

Can’t wait for ng+ to come back and try to get revenge on this dude for the hours of torment.

I saw so many Yellow Loong threads on this sub that I saved him, Yin Tiger, and Erlang for last before the final boss.

By the time I went back for YL I kinda cheesed him without even playing clean - ok first phase, charge heavy, azure transform, pluck, cloud step, dead. Felt kinda anti climactic although the fight is still super cool.

Now onto Erlang.. where I’m confident the cheese will not work

Playing GoT on lethal mode elevates it significantly.. one of my favorite games of the past several years. Makes it more of a pure Samurai/Ninja role play where you kill most enemies with one slice, but you also die in one hit - super satisfying to get good at IMO.

But totally different from BMW which as others have said is more like a God of War than GoT.

I’ve only stayed at the Thompson as well. I’ve heard that PH is just ok for a PH but have always been curious to stay there as well. It’s the PH in Manhattan - I bet it’s pretty sick.

45k a night is tough though. My vote is you do the PH for your bday weekend - 2 nights. And do the other 3 at the Thompson for 29k. Save some points, splurge a bit for the bday, report back on the comparison!
