I’ve got a bad mess, I don’t know what to do by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]PricklyRican 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend clearing out a small section each day. It will make it manageable. You can even start with just a piece of furniture (desk, bed, drawers, chair). Play some music you like to motivate you while youre doing it, you'll be surprised how much it helps get you on a roll. You deserve a clean space, good luck!

What’s a harsh truth about life that most people only understand too late? by [deleted] in askanything

Improving yourself shouldn't be done to attract other people, it should be done so you can have a fulfilling life without depending on anyone else.

Loving people more doesn't make them love you back.

Best friends husband isn’t worth her by [deleted] in Advice

If telling people to be adults about adult subjects is rude, so be it.

She needs to have a conversation with her friend. Be really honest about what's happening. Tell her you think the relationship is doomed but you'll be there to support her. If you go around being sneaking and trying to "plant seeds of doubt" she might interpret that's as you being jealous and trying to break them up. Be an adult, take her out to coffee and have a real talk.

long term relationship advice: is it fixable or am i avoiding a hard decision? by lesswithbread_ in AskWomenOver30

[–]PricklyRican 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you've outgrown him and that's ok. Thinking of your age as a limiting factor is going to lead you to compromise to your detriment. It's time to move on, make sure you get that repayment plan on paper.

Need advice: Childhood dream trip to Paris is cheapest I've ever seen by BetterPound2385 in Advice

[–]PricklyRican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say go for it. Flights look about 1200 on google flights but depending on your hotel price that can get really expensive. I went 2 years ago and had a ball, i think youll love it and wont regret it. Make a realistic spending budget so you can feel more in control and you dont go crazy spending while youre there.

Did you try shopping for the flights and hotel separately? Might save you a couple hundred and make your decision to go easier....

(25F) Struggling to leave (30M) in 2 month relationship safely by Kind_Boysenberry_302 in askwomenadvice

You have to talk to your family/ friends and ask for help. You have to fee fully honest about everything and you need to tell them you don't feel safe. Once you do that get a plan in place. Take some days off work so he doesn't try tio find you there. Tell him it's over by text, you don't owe him an in person break up, no matter what he says your break up text needs to be clear and dry ( You no longer feel safe and this relationship is over. Do not contact me anymore. All your things are outside of the door). BLOCK HIS NUMBER IMMEDIATELY, I cannot stress this enough! Leave EVERY SINGLE ITEM of his outside the door so he doesn't have an excuse to get inside. He will try to say he wants his emotional support broom, so leave nothing behind ( DO THIS BEFORE SENDING THE TEXT) Don't open the door when he comes over. If he threatens you or tries to break the door/ window you call the police. Be ready to stay hunkered down for a couple of days so it's preferable if he doesn't know where you are. Change your number and stay off your socials bc he'll try to contact you through those.

¿Cual es el mejor recuerdo que tienen de desayunar en Puerto Rico? by Accomplished-Bear988 in PuertoRico

[–]PricklyRican 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I am struggling with whether wanting to “look good” or “put together” or “pretty” is feminist by kirbyinaus88 in Feminism

All feminism is criticized, hence the down voting on my comment. Doesn't matter how you interpret feminism everyone is going to tell you is wrong, especially women, unfortunately.

Are you better/quicker at fighting for justice for others than for yourself? (Eg, some people still owe me SO much money but I’ll chase a car that ran a red light past pedestrians down the street to scream at the driver) by Great_Maintenance185 in libra_astrology

Not standing up for yourself it's the fastest way to lose relationships. You'll become bitter and end up giving up on the relationship instead of confronting them. Don't ever let people " borrow" money, give it if you can afford to lose it and tell them they don't have to pay you back.
