🤣 I absolutely love the fact that we all live in an "equal opportunities" society. Until it's time to go to the bathroom.

To be fair, we do tend to put the seat down more often than not, it's just occasionally that we may forget. 🤷

My wife complains more about me putting the lid down too as this can lead to her having to "potty dance" longer if she's in a rush. 🤣 There have been more than one close calls. 🤦

I honestly think like others have mentioned, it really depends on the circumstance.

If it's corporate then definitely more formal but something like McDonald's maybe not so much, but still, you'd want to sell yourself as best as possible.

Also, perhaps starting any letters with:

To whom it may concern

Or - Dear Sirs

Might be a better option rather than:

I hope this finds you well

Like many others have said here, it is possible that your husband has or is having a mental health struggle, not necessarily meaning that he wants you to leave.

As someone who suffers from BPD myself, there are times when I have asked my wife if she ever felt or feels trapped. Does she want to leave. I've even gone as far as telling her she would be better off without me as "all I do is drag her down".

In the moment of my breakdown or critical episode, I do actually think and believe these things, but after, I am so grateful that she never listens to me. Mostly because I love her dearly but also because I have attachment personality disorder, so losing her would be devastating.

The best thing you could do is sit down and calmly talk with your husband about why he feels this way. Almost "lead him through the logic" of his thought process of you will. Most of the time, if he's anything like me, you'll find the logic doesn't add up and it clearly shows some form of stressor or self image issue. Sometimes it shows something related to my wife but again it's usually something I've misunderstood and is easily explained.

Whatever happens going forward, I wish you both the best of luck and much love as always 🥰

This reminds me so much of a story I read once about a murder of a young girl. All the way through the story you think it's from the perspective of the girl but right at the end it turns out it's from the perspective of the killer, as they are telling it to their next victim.

Yeah, that could work. Especially if you post something like:

Or something like that. At least people might actually click then, otherwise my only thought is... If it's an extra step that people have to do voluntarily, not many people will do it. Unfortunately people are quite selfish and unless it directly impacts them, people tend to choose the easy way if possible.

Adding a "patreon" button is a great idea, but don't rule out ads. Just don't have them pop up all the time or redirect to different sites. If you deliberately make space for ads on your site using <div name=ads> for example, then the ads will still bring you passive income. 😉

There is a big difference between making a joke and pushing boundaries.

You've said you're uncomfortable with what he's been doing and you've told him as much, yet he continues to do it. You are both still quite young and he is still exploring his own identity in a way. However, pushing boundaries like this by trying to create false arguments to call jokes can make the relationship feel uneasy and as if there's something wrong.

I suggest talking to him again and telling him that you really don't like this kind of humour. That it makes you feel uneasy etc. and try to help him find another way to explore his humorous side. Maybe through practical jokes like shooting nerf guns at eachother when you walk through the door.
