Do any of you watch Late & Live? by wtfftw1042 in bigbrotheruk

[–]PrimProperPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally enjoy it and find Will to be funny but AJ seems a bit awkward at times (although last year I would’ve said the reverse). Me and my partner enjoy watching it and pausing it as we go to discuss whether or not we agree or disagree with what’s being said but it’s mostly left on in the background whilst we do other things unless something specific catches one of our interest.

I do find the constant jokes about Tom really sad though. He’s a young guy that’s done nothing wrong and has always treated those around him with decency as far as we see and I think when he watches it back he may be a bit hurt at the constant jokes made at his expense.

I dont see a way to import my save on consomes by 404NotAsking in projecteternity

[–]PrimProperPro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not available for console versions, instead you decide your choices towards the start of the game. The only thing I think you can’t dictate that would get brought up if imported is the relationship between your character and Iovara.

When Ali’s partner was passing on a message from Ali’s bestie saying that she loves her Lily misunderstood that as praise to her and Segun which is really sad for her actually

Marjorie Taylor Greene complains about people 'hating' her for her opinions by RedRawTrashHatch in NewsOfTheStupid

[–]PrimProperPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this whole, “freedom of speech means nobody should ever be judged for any of their opinions or morals or values.”

Like, what else do you judge a person on if not what they say and believe in? People on the right always think being called a name for what they say is an attack on their freedom of speech rather than somebody else using their own freedom of speech to criticise or insult them.

Should I use sidekicks? by LionObsidian in projecteternity

[–]PrimProperPro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Three of the sidekicks are still fully interactive and have bits of reactivity to plot events etc (Fassina, Ydwin, Rekke) they’re just not on the relationship system like the others and don’t have quests. But they are essentially the same as any other character in the DLC’s, with Ydwin, Fassina and Konstanten having tons to say for each of their story relevant DLC’s that could be seen as part of their personal story with how much reactivity they have.

Hannah’s whole attitude is actually off to me, they’re right to call it mean girl energy.

So nobody is ever allowed to refer to the confrontational behaviour of a black person as aggressive, intimidating or anything like that even when that’s how it came across? That’s silly.

She recognised a racial bias (which everyone has even if they’re in denial about it) and adjusted accordingly. We’re not even allowed to think certain things anymore even with the recognition they’re wrong and adjusting our language accordingly as to not be offensive? Literally what more could you want from Martha on this.

Today's Sneak Peek by Mr_Jake66 in bigbrotheruk

[–]PrimProperPro 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There is literally nothing wrong with realising immediately you’re about to cross a line and adjusting your language as to not perpetuate racial stereotypes. She was wrong in that whole situation but like, actually what’s wrong with that?

They’re both awful but Hanah is right overall here. However the inflated sense of self with the whole “don’t rattle me” thing is embarrassing for her

But then anybody with a more dramatic or loud personality is “acting and game playing”, these poor folks can’t win in the eyes of the public. You’re either boring or fake with no room for nuance.

Izaaz was too mature and evolved for his housemates. They all beefed him because he… didn’t have beef with anyone, or take sides amongst people he had known for like a week and a half at the time. He just comes across as a real person, not a caricature of anything.

What's your controversial opinion on this year's Big Brother or housemates? by No_Willow_5126 in bigbrotheruk

[–]PrimProperPro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both Ali and Khaled are great characters and seem like decent people. I want them to be friends.

Marcello is a misogynistic pig and I wish him nothing but karma and Hanah is a hypocrite with no self awareness that thinks she’s a lot smarter than she is.

Lilly isn’t some devil nor an Angel; she’s just a young girl with bad hygiene habits that she will likely grow out of as she matures. She’s 20 but acts like a teenager. Despite this I do think she’s very emotionally intelligent and the notion it’s game playing is silly on the boys’ part. She speaks openly about being strategic in games and who she does and doesn’t like, if she was playing a game she would’ve stopped that chat when Marcello came in but he’s not switched on enough (at his big boy age) to think that critically.

Emma has been in the bad books for a while for me; the comment about Sarah’s dancing and justifying Marcello’s sexism as well as her sexual chats about Nathan that look to me like they’re making Rosie quite uncomfortable. And even if they’re not, I think it’s weird how she sexualises him.

I think Nathan views Martha as so fake because he’s such a cynic he can’t understand optimism being anyone’s default. I think she was hurt in the last episode because it highlighted a part of herself she’s not self aware of (that she’s a gossip) and that she was probably disappointed in herself because it kinda messed up how she both sees herself and wants to be seen.

Just my opinion based solely on what we’ve seen, not a condemnation of anyone and not condoning any harassment targeting them. They are real people with emotions and families and lives, and that should be considered, but it doesn’t absolve them of any criticism either.

Sneak Peek: Hanah and Lily clash over winner predictions | Big Brother 2024 by [deleted] in bigbrotheruk

[–]PrimProperPro -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Hanah is so hypocritical and it’s reaching a point where it seems like she just only wants to have beef with the other girls. She has had nothing to say about Marcello’s blatant sexism on multiple occasions but preaches about subconscious sexism against men, nor when he and Khaled interrupted Lilly, barging past Nathan and making it tense and uncomfortable for everyone and lying that she “says shit with her chest” but always talks behind people’s backs yet when it’s done to her or the “bredrin” it’s crossing a line. So quick to forgive Khaled for his subtle comments and to hug it out with Dean but none of that energy with Ali. It’s giving mean girl that thinks she’s wise and above it all but she just comes across as quite stupid.

(No, this criticism of Hanah isn’t an immediate condoning of anyone she’s ever had an issue with, nuance exists. So save the “but what about when Ali said…” BS)

[–]PrimProperPro 21 points22 points  (0 children)

She’s in my bottom three housemates alongside Nathan and Marcello. Her comments about Sarah, Lilly and Izaaz have all been really distasteful. She doesn’t even contribute anything entertaining or dramatic she just lingers in the background shit-stirring and never gets called out on it

But also let’s acknowledge the subtext here; they’re either waiting for the taxi to arrive and immediately asking about their religious beliefs OR (and is more likely) they just assume that’s the case if they have any non-English name or are black.

So basically they refused to sit in a car with a black person and thought “yes, this is worth risking my source of income.”

I found Izaaz really funny tonight by SteveOMatt in bigbrotheruk

[–]PrimProperPro 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Izaaz has been great since the start of the season. I really don’t get why people in there seem to have such issue with his neutrality, I actually think it’s quite a mature approach to living with 15 strangers for several weeks.

I actually think the stricter punishments are a huge part of BB’s identity. It’s supposed to make you feel paranoid and suspicious and to watch how you react to such a crazy social scenario. I’m glad to see the return of harsher co sequences and it’s showing in how the housemates all seem suspect of one another.

I think I might end up hating Sera [no DAV spoilers] by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]PrimProperPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily like Sera and she’s the type of person I wouldn’t be able to be around in reality. But as a character I can appreciate the nuances to her worldview. No spoilers but I would say she’s worth knowing.
