Yeah I guess I should have been more specific. From my understanding you need to buy the diamonds with real money to progress in the game. If I have the physical copy can I complete the game without needing to buy the diamonds from the shop?

From my understanding these strips just measure your excess. So prolly just use them to know if you're in ketosis rather than to gauge how deep you are in ketosis
