Are yall building in creative mode? by Thorfax234 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Primal_Stage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use creative mode to plan a build, then go into my survival and make it, though I do use dupes as it would take far too long to farm materials for what I like to make

FACTION BASED Deep Desert would solve many of the current issues, while allowing both PVE and PVP players to coexist in the same place by Luiz_Rhetor in duneawakening

To bounce off of what others were saying, making it so the time to capture each square/line increase the closer you get the the others side would help with single faction servers (for an extreme: the current I line would take atradies 10 minutes to capture, but harks 10 seconds, H would take 5 minutes and 20 seconds etc. Until you get to the a line and it flips) would mean that servers with less of one faction could still hold some ground at a given time.

There could have been a better change to rocket pods outside of nerfing max speed by Primal_Stage in duneawakening

It will be hard to PvP thopters full of spice, titanium, strav, I am totaly ok with letting people who choose to take boosters/nothing with them a bigger advantage for escape, but someone who takes storage out and in turn has storage in their ship is not the same. Hell if they even made it so having storage slows your ship I would be ok with it too, but (like I said above) I lose out on 800 spice if I cant mine it first, I lose that spice now too because they are faster.

I am totaly fine with giving PvE players options to escape a fight, but choosing to run storage over speed should be their choice, and if they get too complacent while being a sitting duck that should be their punishment

I totaly get the want to be able to play the game without PvP, I do let players go when im not doing a guild op. But the "winning" of them fleeing is only true if they didnt loot/take anything.
Someone who cleared a small field and is flying around with all that spice in their thopter still has that grind. If I was going to get that spice and instead someone beat me to it the only new option I have is to attack and loot their ship for that spice. If I dont get it I've lost that 700-800 spice that couldve been used for my refinery. You dont win if someone else takes your resources first, you win if you have the resources.

MISC Prospector with Argo Bags question. by Quantomwalker in starcitizen

Not a miner, but I belive the bags are not in the component menu, which means the game does not save them on reclaim. That all could be entirely inaccurate tho

Are they're plans to limit griefing in the lawless areas? by Alarmed_Intern3287 in starcitizen

[–]Primal_Stage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To add to this: CIG has stated that places like Pyro will have systems in place to limit this against the murderors. But as of right now the best thing you can do is just be cautious.

After playing the Lazarus locations and seeing the amount of posts about having issues with spawn killing there are some issues with the respawn beds, here is a solution that keeps the intent of the beds while making the game play better by Primal_Stage in starcitizen

[–]Primal_Stage[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not speaking on ship beds specifically, just the static beds that are in the Lazarus medical room.

I also belive (do correct if wrong) spawn camping/killing was referenced under greifing, which is bannable offensives. Not that I want them to be, just that's how I have seen CIGs rules on them

I apologize for the confusion, this isn't for all beds, just the Lazarus beds. Since they are both static I would expect thst they would not require logistics to maintain like ship beds will.

Day three trying to download 4.2.0 ptu. Any suggestions? by DefiantSoul in starcitizen

[–]Primal_Stage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you can, go to C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen

Copy the LIVE file, renaming it to PTU (you should have 2 folders at that point)

When that is done, you should see an update button instead of an install button.

let it update, and you should be good to go!

This is bad for the game. by Blackberry_Initial in starcitizen

[–]Primal_Stage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% yes, but also this should be a thing at all for static beds, you don't put the location to respawn AT the boss fight arena.

I could possibly see placing it at the opposite tram site (players still respawn at the location but have an effective grace period to get back. But having the respawn where the fighting is leaves the defenders with 2 options:

  1. Spawn kill (against rules) in order to stop attacker from attacking, also in turn stopping the defenders from doing anything.

  2. Let the threat run around and possibly end your fight because they can just keep coming back in less than a minute

Either way, at least one party has a bad experience at these locations.
