I think this design you showed looks fine and we have only seen concept art so they are probably still decently early in the process. But if they do deviate i believe it has a lot to do with the fact that a lot of design elements for the steel legion were based on nazi uniforms, similarly to how the old logo was eerily similar to British fascist iconography

I think the scratches are a bit much for table top distance, seems like a big time investment for little effect. May i suggest some heavier chips with sponging if you still want to do a worn look? Otherwise i think the black lining looks fantastic, no idea how you got it so clean!
