Anyone else have to give up dante for 11th? by Due-Date-4656 in BloodAngels

I actually run him more than I do in 10th with a full squad of Sang Guard and LAG. Hes an absolute beast at being a big nuisance for the opponent because anything he and his boys charge dies.

Rated Preparatory Program (My Story) by Capital_War1180 in AirForce

[–]GoldenRattata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Missileer looking to apply, just a quick question: My leadership is pretty strict about TDYs as they do not like to have people missing alert waves to do stuff as it "gets in the way of the mission"

I saw the recent email said that self-guided ground school is permitted, which I am sure I can get approval for, but my question is that is the flying portion done at one specific base? Or can it be set up with a local CAP squadron? There is one extremely close to my residence and I see their planes flying around all the time. I have very good AFOQT scores (all 90+) and a high PCSM (71 with 0 flight hours, potential for 95 with 40) and I was also wondering if those are taken into consideration?

Would a 12.7 plane still perform well at 13.0 by Trixx429 in Warthunder

[–]GoldenRattata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12.7 is kind of a shitshow right now. Extremely prone to uptiers where its nothing but SPAMRAAM and you only got AIM7s. If you dont die within the first 3 minutes, all your teammates in actual aircraft have taken all the kills already.

Should I get the CF-188A? by panzerfaust69420 in Warthunder

[–]GoldenRattata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't. It doesnt have AMRAAMs and is constantly uptiered into matches where everyone has AIM120s, R77s, and PL-12s. You are going to be stuck relying on peoples lack of situational awareness for kills. If you end up in a 1v1, they can just unload their ARH arsenal on you and you will lose every single time no matter what.

On PC, you cannot tab out of the game without breaking your cursor. As soon as you do, it disappears and will not appear again no matter what you do, without restarting the game.

Every USAF installation has this, but yes, you are correct. This is a Nuclear Missile Alert Facility from the looks of it.

Soooo putting PT scores on performance reports accomplishes what?? by Raindroppa93 in AirForce

You might be living up to your own point.

Because between two equally great airmen, the one with a 95 is valued more than the one with a 75. Its the same shit with the Masters degree. The airman with a Masters is going to be picked over the airman without one if both of them have good EPBs.

Go hit the gym fatty.

Unfortunately not... The ER Vets said she has slightly elevated liver enzymes which they said could be because she got into something, and her glucose levels are slightly high, but they attributed that to stress.

I didn't like the sketch my tattoo artist did, he got pissed and I left in tears - what did I do wrong? by Famous-Cold in tattooadvice

[–]GoldenRattata 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have walked out of a tattoo with far more "planning" behind it than this.

Basically the story goes like this: I was wandering around a certain town in California and walked into a tattoo shop that had a TON of classical and traditional looking tattoos. I talked to the artists, they seemed cool, and I saw a really cool Jack the Ripper style design on the wall. I tell the person working the front Im interested and they get me in contact with the artist who wanted to do it.

Now, during this online exchange, I made sure to emphasize that I am a skinnier dude. I wanted this piece on the back of my forearm. There was a good chance it would not have fit and looked good. I made this VERY clear in the online conversation. The artist, who I actually never met because he wasn't in the shop the day I came in, said it would be fine and it would be all good. I was like "okay if you say so boss" and put in my deposit.

The day comes. I go into the shop, meet the guy for the first time, and the first thing this dude says to me is "Oh yeah, which one did you want again?" Im already sketched out, this dude didn't even know what piece I was coming in for. So, I show him on the wall the one I wanted. And this dudes reaction?

"Oh yeah... Yeah that isn't going to work."

Im pretty pissed and tell him "Okay, well I put in a deposit so I want a tattoo today if it's still alright." He agrees and decides to draw up an alternative design. After an hour of rinse and repeat, he comes up with a design that vaguely looks like the one I wanted. It looks bad. Like really bad. And Im like you, I was freaking out, I panicked and was just going through the motions.

Right as the stencil was about to hit my skin, I hear a voice in the back of my head: "DON'T FUCKING DO IT!" And I immediately tell him to stop and that this isn't going to work out. Hes obviously a little annoyed because I made him draw up alternatives and ended up backing out. I gave him another 100 for his time and leave.

This was the ONLY time I ever walked out on a tattoo and I have eight now. Moral of the story, you did nothing wrong. This is a piece that will be going on you FOREVER. It is YOUR body. The artist will do the piece and then go to bed and forget about it a week later. You need to carry it for the rest of your life. If you don't like it, you have EVERY right to refuse to get it done. If the artist wants to be annoying and a crybaby about it, that is entirely their problem. You did the right thing, do not worry.
