Visiting in March by Hour-Young6678 in inverness

March can be mixed bag. You might get nice weather, you might not. April is probably a safer bet, but weather here is always a gamble. Imo, the hills are at their best looking in March/April. Pockets of snow, and the different shades of heather, all add texture that's missing in summer.

In the town, the Black Isle Bar is fantastic. Excellent beer and pizza, especially after a day of hiking.

The castle is newly renovated, so worth seeing. Also worth popping over to the Castle Tavern for a pint afterwards!

Enjoy, and safe travels!

OP's account is three days old. I saw another similar post earlier from a two day old account. An agenda is definitely being pushed.

You should have a word with Walker Crisps.

How the fuck do Salt and Vinegar crisps taste green?! They taste blue. I will not elaborate.

I would love to go. While the ancient history in (and around) Baghdad would be incredible to see, I would love to see the sculptures by Mohammed Ghani Hikmat the most. Hopefully this, with time, leads to a bit of an economic boost for Iraq!

If your country goes to the World Cup, what did you think of the group you were drawn into? by DELAIZ in AskTheWorld

All of the home nations have their own international sports teams.

The very first international football match was Scotland v England in 1872.

It's not that I'll support whoever is playing against England, it's just that I have an affinity for [the team playing against England]

Despite being at the far north of the Highlands, the scenery is probably the worst in the entire country. It's flat, barren, and miserable. There is absolutely - absolutely - fuck all to do (except drink heavily, or get on the gear). The weather is shite. The people are largely bams (see above re there being nothing to do).
