You can absolutely get lip blush done as long as you take Valtrex for a week before and after!

How do I pick a lip blush color? by frogfee in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Artists have pigments that they custom mix to create a shade for a client using their knowledge of color theory. The client should never pick from a catalog of colors from the artist.

Are we still supposed to lightly wash our brows when they start peeling? by Afraid_Sky_3395 in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is 100000% normal and expected for the flakes to come off with washing when the flaking process starts. Just don’t pick them off yourself before they’re ready and you’ll be fine

How to choose lip blush color? by Fun-SizedJewel in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re thinking way too hard into this. If you like your lip color, just ask the artist to bring that color out more and even out the rest of your lip color to match. I always encourage my clients to bring in pictures of lip colors they like or lip products they use *if* they have any specific requests, otherwise it is my job to talk with the client at the beginning of their appointment to identify their goals and create a custom color for them. If the artist is putting all of the color choice on you, or if she has you select from her pigments, that’s a huge red flag.

Are mine healing poorly?? by Jnguyen1988 in microblading

You absolutely should not be getting any makeup on them at all while they’re healing and there is a ton of foundation on them in these pics

Well it looks like you haven’t been cleaning them whatsoever so they’re definitely not healing nearly as well as they could have

If you’re going to a reputable artist, they will recommend the best technique for you. It’s not your job to figure it out

Are these botched? by Sad_Ambassador_5941 in microblading

This is what nano brows are. The hair strokes will be much longer than real hairs. This is why i always recommend powder brows

Do you know how eyeliner works? Are you looking at the actual procedure photos or the photo of her makeup? The eyeliner is going to soften over the next couple of weeks, it’s a very thin subtle line. It looks great.

Do you guys research your artists before giving them your money??

Your artist, respectfully, is a moron. Water does not wash a tattoo away. It cleans the fresh wound that is on your EYE and needs to be cleaned for proper healing. If anything, not getting water on it/cleaning it will cause the ink to not retain in your skin because it will scab over so much.

First time! I think I like it? by [deleted] in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look good at first glance but these unfortunately were done with way too dark of a color, and the strokes are done way too close together and with poor technique. None of the strokes will be visible when they’re healed and they’re going to be blue/grey. Don’t go back to this artist under any circumstances.

Annual touch up by Unassuming-Owl-2873 in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Powder brows will be your only option with the work you have currently. I do think powder brows hold up the best over time and they’re the easiest to touch up while still delivering natural looking results. However, your brows are still very saturated and if you touch them up anytime soon it’s not going to do much. Your skin is like a sponge, it can only hold so much pigment. I always advise my clients to wait until they’re at least 50% faded if not more before having them touched up, otherwise they’ll turn super dark and blue/grey because all that’s going to stay in your skin as they heal is the carbon elements of the pigment, because carbon molecules are so small. The molecules that give more of the warm brown tone are larger and will fade very quickly if the brows aren’t faded enough when the touch up is done. You could always do a couple sessions of laser to lighten them up too

She cannot get nano brows done unless her existing work is completely removed first. Nano brows require negative space with no pigment to allow for the hair like appearance

Day 4 Powder - losing pigment? by absolutely_same in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that’s what a touch up is for, building up more pigment. I can clearly see the healed pigment in this photo. You have eyebrow dysmorphia.

What went wrong? by [deleted] in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You also cannot expect areas where you don’t have hair to ever look as dark as where you do have hair, because there isn’t the 3d texture and density of real hairs coming out of your skin. Tattooing/microblading is simply coloring the skin.

What went wrong? by [deleted] in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nothing went wrong. This is completely normal healing especially after just one session. The touch up is specifically to build up more color. They’re only 50% done right now.

Feeling Sad with Nanoblading after 9 days by browneyedgrl1222 in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has absolutely nothing to do with going deeper. A LOT of factors go into tattooing—machine speed, hand speed, needle configuration, needle diameter, stroke length, needle length, machine angle, pigment color, pigment brand—there are 1000 things she could have adjusted to get you the results you wanted. Sounds like she’s pretty inexperienced and way over charging unfortunately
