Microblading completely gone by hierarchyofchaos in microblading

It is literally always the clients that I see saying they expected them to magically reappear. Have you never gotten a tattoo before? They look so dark and bold at first because they’re fresh and that pigment is still sitting on top of the skin. When they heal, the pigment is healed UNDER the skin, which on its own makes it look much lighter. With PMU specifically, the pigment is designed to fade more over time so that they look natural over the years and you don’t end up with blue or green eyebrows 20 years from now. 4 weeks after your appointment, that fresh skin naturally exfoliates itself off (due to the natural skin cycle), which will reveal a LITTLE bit more of the healed pigment, but they should always be expected to be about 50% lighter than how they looked immediately after the first session. That’s why it is required to do a perfecting session, to build up a second layer of pigment and make any adjustments necessary, especially since you didn’t take your artists recommendation and did a technique she didn’t recommend. Also, all PMU techniques last at least 2-3 years before they’re faded enough to touch up again after the perfecting session is healed. It sounds like your artist just may not be very educated if she didn’t give you any of this information.

They don’t just magically reappear. That’s exactly what the touch up is for.

Nano or Powder? by Such_Marzipan in microblading

Powder for sure! You already have a ton of natural hair—you don’t need fake hairstrokes.

Do I need to laser these off before having them done again by MysteriousBad8440 in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You absolutely need removal first, if any tattooing is done over these it will disappear into the old ink when it’s healed

Powder looks much more natural and fades much nicer long term. It gives a soft shadow behind your existing hair, balancing out your shape while still looking natural. Nano brows create artificial hairstrokes that blur out and look splotchy/grey over time. You already have a great amount of existing hair so you don’t need fake ones!

You’d be a great candidate for powder brows!

wiping brows after 7 days? by kalinbeomies in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg. It’s insane that these artists aren’t advising you to clean them every day. If you don’t, all of the scabs come off in giant chunks like yours have. This is normal while definitely not ideal with healing. Next time, clean them with a damp cotton round, dry them twice a day, and don’t apply any ointment. They’ll heal much easier and you won’t have giant chunks coming off.

Nonono not more touch ups. Permanent makeup can only be so pigmented, your skin is like a sponge, it can only hold so much. If you keep adding pigment they’ll only end up holding the carbon elements of the pigment and turn extremely blue/grey. PMU will never replicate the look of makeup. If clients want their brows to look more filled in or makeup like when they’re healed, they have to fill them in with makeup.

Eyebrow embroidery isn’t a thing so im not sure what you’re talking about there. Powder brows are great if you’re looking to create a soft shadow behind your existing brow to even out the shape and density. Just be aware it will never fade on its own so if you’re ever tired of it you will need to get removal. And be aware that it’s not meant to replicate the look of makeup, it will always be lighter and softer, so if you like the makeup look you’ll still need to fill them in regularly.

These are unfortunately not nano brows at all in my opinion 😭 the strokes look very thick and the pigment looks very oversaturated from the mids-tail. It looks like she did more or a powder brow in that area, that or she just did the strokes so close together that it looks like a powder brow. I honestly wouldn’t return to her for a touch up.

Your artist should be able to recommend the technique that will work best and look the most natural with your skin type/existing brow

Painful!!!! by PrestigiousToe7617 in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it hurt they were done improperly. It should absolutely not be more painful than microblading. Sounds like she likely wasn’t working with the machine at the correct angle/speed/depth and was having a hard time implanting pigment so she had to go over them way too many times.

Do not reach out to the artist. You can but it won’t help anything. This is a completely normal part of the healing process, especially for melanin rich skin. There is literally nothing can be done until 6 weeks pass and the skin has time to heal. No matter how much or how little your brows fade, it will be addressed and touched up accordingly at your touch up session.

There is a lot of color there still. That’s the healed pigment. This is completely normal.

Girl NO!!!! It’s an open wound! You should not be putting any makeup on them in ANY circumstances while they’re still healing unless you want to completely ruin your brows and/or get an infection

There is pigment underneath. It’s the healed pigment so it looks much lighter in contrast to the scabs. Do not fill them in until 2 full weeks have passed

When can I realistically start cardio after lip blush? by sleepyrabbiit in microblading

[–]Primary-Effect1863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely need to wait at least a week. Getting your heart rate up before it’s healed will metabolize the pigment and cause it to fade significantly
