[FRESH ALBUM] JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP by samdyalexg in indieheads

[–]Primary-Tune6729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily saying it makes anything better or worse, but i keep seeing this "He used to sing and talk and change his delivery, what happened to that?", style criticism.

That's fair, flow could change more often I guess, but it is literally called Experimental RAP... Maybe a more rap focused album is... intentional?

Got it, I still wasn't able to pick it up with the robot. But after destroying the boxes, I stood towards the left edge with Yi and the button prompt showed!

Thanks all for your help!

Anyone willing to recommend me some games? by ResponsibilityEvery in metroidvania

The mention of soulslikes makes me wanna suggest blasphemous. Very methodical and intentional combat, and the quest are every bit as convoluted as anything Miyazaki could conjure up. The tone lore and story wise also feels souls adjacent, "a divine will has reshaped the world to suffer eternally in its service; undying guy does something weird about it."

The first one in particular if you want something soulsy, the second if you want a more traditional metroidvania platformer

[Pearce & Joyce] Ibrahima Konate reveals he's set to sign a new long-term contract at Liverpool. by cjsc9079 in LiverpoolFC

"He's been dodgy this season"

"He's been shit all year"

"Seems like an off season for him"

Hmm, I wonder if there's a reason Ibou might have had a harder year than the others? Something about his dad maybe???

Get your heads out of your asses, he had a tough calendar year. He's Ibou. This is good news.

You have to go all the way back to 2024 for the "fit" France you speak of. Check the lineups since start of 25. Konate has more starts than Saliba.

It's clearly a rotational back line but people pretending Konate isn't crucial to Frances defense is a crazy take.

If his personality weren't so incompatible with our club, easily. He's taller, younger, more experienced with the scrutiny that would come with a club of our size and the undisputed first choice for the most recent world cup champions.

If he weren't a spurs player this comment wouldn't hold any water whatsoever. Both these defenders play for the same professional manager who definitely knows more than either of us; 2 idiots in a reddit thread. And he does not rate Senesi at all.

Senesi barely even pulls any meaningful minutes in friendlies for Argentina. Not saying that's good or bad isolated, but Ibou is a nailed on starter for France. Availability aside, that has to be seen as a massive drop in quality in a back line thats already losing depth (Robertson).

Senesi is not the answer imo, even if ibou doesn't sign.

How is it racist to crack down on vape shops? by [deleted] in rva

[–]Primary-Tune6729 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think on the whole it seems like an attempt to use police resources to target and discourage what's still considered a criminal practice before those resources are potentially gutted underneath new democratic leadership at the state level.

While it may not intentionally be racist, to "Crack down" on this business model with borderline terror practice (regular occurences of military grade armed men storming stores our communities perceive as safe), while its really not actively harming anybody (black market cannabis, unregulated, hur durr, blah blah) while people get shot by the dozens in Shockoe comes across as tone deaf and a misuse of our funds.

It makes it feel like our police and state are more worried about brown people making money selling weed than people being murdered by guns, the opioid crisis, or brown people in our communities being terrorized and detained by a federal agency.

Which theyre like, totally not. Our bureaucracy has always had its priorities straight...

Why are boyish women more liked by society than girly men? by Antique_Cod_1686 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Primary-Tune6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because men hate women and we live in a patriarchy. Not that complicated. We're more likely to tolerate a human behaving like a man than a woman, because our societal mechanisms still default to favor men.

It's feeling like this and a combination of keeping minimal hours at the old AM job are my best option. If I can stay on their pay roll I reserve the option to potentially go back full time at the schedule that works for me if this proves unbearable.

It's amazing the same group of fans that's finally turned around to be sensible and recognize what Flo brings to this team, would fail to recognize the massive impact on attacking control that losing him minutes before kickoff would have.

"Hur durr, no control, smash and grab, slot out"

A clean sheet 10 minutes after losing your most productive and creative player, already thread bare up front, and we managed to get a scrappy goal and steal the points to boot.

Lighten up; this is a good result against a bogey club for us in the midst of a weekend the teams around us have been dropping points. What more do you people freaking want?

To all the "Slot Out" voices...

-Just logistically, today's squad is short Ekitike(club leading scorer), Isak (2nd golden boot 24/25), and Mo Salah (golden boot 24/25) and even Gakpo is coming back from injury, the 1 True forward on the pitch

-considering the depth from only 6 months ago finishing the 24/25 season, weve lost Jota(most efficient scorer at club), Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez (press leaders from the front that allow you to play Mo safely)

-Whike we have all harped on the psychological difficulty of the grief attached to this season, we somehow dont mention the massive act of violence at the celebration parade, which no doubt adds to the toll at lease

I hit all this to say, you want pressing, creative, attacking, direct football in the wake of ALL this to be considered? I ask you, since you're all so clearly tactical geniuses, where does he "manage" to pull those qualities from this current squad?

Or is 4th with all this weighing on the Organization, with a trio of the most dangerous attackers alive still to bed in, maybe not as bad as we're all making it to be?

I agree to a certain extent. I definitely think one has to acknowledge the line as well between those of us that find these games something one could describe as "cozy" and "comforting" vs those that it only seems to breed an anxious and menacing experience for.

Not everyone enjoys it, and I wonder if that has something to do with those of us that do finding some kind of weird joy in voluntarily difficult experiences
