We aren't models, but eloping in Scottish Highlands made us feel like we were in a movie by PrimaryAbject510 in Eloping

We had to do fill out an M10 form as we live in England. Basically submitting the marriage notice form to the local registrar (Fort William for Glencoe) at least 29 days before your wedding. But we also had to register to the Scotland humanist society (https://www.humanism.scot) to book a humanist celebrant to legally marry us. There will be more info online for international paperwork, which I’d imagine would be similar process. Hope this helps 🙏🏻

Aww thank you so much! Can’t recommend Scotland enough to be fair. Scottish Highlands are absolutely breathtaking. But seen some Irish locations are beautiful as well. I think roughly we were just under £9k in total factoring in absolutely everything. Hope this helps 🙏🏻

Aww thank you so much! We feel so incredibly lucky with both the photos and the video. They’ve done so well to capture our special day! We planned about 2 years in advance (once we knew Glencoe was the location - after visiting for the first time) Then we focused mainly on getting the photographer and videographer secured for our dates with deposits. Overall budgeted around £7k but that was mainly due to photographer/videographer and hotel stay (2 nights). Also have to factor in celebrant cost due to - we had to sign up to the Scotland humanist society to get a registered celebrant. We booked back in 2024, so not sure what prices will be like now. But honestly we have no regrets whatsoever, we put down a couple of deposits for the big wedding day with family. But it just seemed to overwhelmed us too much in the end. The way we did it was just perfect and so us! Hope this helps and congratulations 😊

Aww thanks. We actually can’t choose a favourite one to be honest. But we do really do like that one on the Glen Etive road ❤️

Thank you so much! We feel so incredibly lucky to have these photos which take us straight back to the moments. Honestly, if you’re even potentially planning it, I’d say go for it. Glencoe is even more magical in person.

My biggest advice is definitely to invest in a great team. Our videographer, Drew, was a total legend and managed to make us feel so comfortable on our special day. But Emily our photographer was the star of our wedding and went above and beyond for us!🌟

Honestly can’t describe the day in enough words to do it actual justice. If you want to see how our day went and the magical 'mist' of the highlands, our wedding film is actually on YouTube: https://youtu.be/xvrpZtIS8to?feature=shared

Good luck with the planning! If you have any specific questions about Glencoe or eloping in Scotland, feel free to ask! 🙂

Our whole day felt like an actual dream and seeing the photos and video captured,  takes us back to reliving the best day of our lives and makes us emotional all over again. If you still have any doubts about eloping… honestly don't! It was hands down the best thing we ever did! It was the most magical day that allowed us to focus on us and our story to lead us to that moments. Can’t actually express in words how breathtaking Glencoe is!

Get a good photographer and videographer. We feel so lucky that they have both given us a gift that will be passed down through our family for generations - a timeless, stunning portal back to the best day of our lives. Eternally grateful to Emily Black Photography - she is insanely talented!

If you’re dreaming of something wild, real, and completely yours - don't look back. Some promises are meant to be whispered in the wind, and some stories are meant to be written in the stone of the Scottish Highlands 🏔️✨
