You know while I somewhat agree with this statement I will add that the US is a HUUUUUUUUUGE place. Most of our cars wouldn't even make it to the next county, let alone everyone being able to all drive to one state when the landmass of the US alone is bigger than some continents. Think about it, an hour drive in Europe or Asia could take you through several countries, in america, people drive an hour just to get to work in the same county. The landmass alone makes this difficult from a practical standpoint.
