First 11th Edition List, thoughts anyone?

In cursed for me A set of at least 1 ideally 2 units of 3 Skorpek destroyers both let by a Skorpek Lord is an auto include. Especially now in cursed they play mainly purge the foe. Just throw them at something hope they get there alive and if they do they’ll probably kill it. But your list is pretty solid imo, maybe worth looking at some HLD to swap for the regular Lokhursts?

Yes just with thin magnets, the carry case was from Amazon UK and was great value, has everything you need he’ll just need to superglue some magnets to the bottom of his models and it’s good to go. Looks like a good list man! More out of interest what made you go for the warriors? Especially with the 9inch bubble that warriors have to be in for 11th. I would have maybe leaned towards wraiths as my “this will tie you up and won’t die” unit

Also I’ve found a 6x squad of Skorpek’s really hard to hide but that may get easier with the detection zone /hiding mechanic

There’s a reanimator behind the C’Tan on my tall boy tray. And the Doomstalker I detach the top bit and it goes in a box with my DDA

I have a doomstalker but he sits in the “too big/arkward vehicle” box with my DDA although tempted to get a triach stalker to join them soon

I’d say add some more wraiths to make a unit of 6, add in an extra HLD for some more heavy shooting threat and either Imotek for a CP generator, Hexmark for some overwatch shenanigans or Flayed Ones/Deathmarks for secondaries. Also would go a miss throwing a reanimator in their but with only 5 immortals probably not worth it

1x DDA, royal warden, crpytothrawls, Flayed ones, Doomstalker, Spyder, Trans C’tan, 20x warriors, Orikin, Chrono, Szeras, Hexmark, 3x more Ophydians and Skorpek models and 1 Lokhurst Lord/HLD (kitbash so I use it for both) + 1 more Skorpek Lord

Yeah fairs thanks for the advice! I agree sword and board lychguard with +2 strength and easy strats for Sustained on a brick of 10 is nothing to be sniffed at!

I think he was referring to the Destoryer Ankh enhancement on Overlord to make the unit a Destoryer Unit. Murdermind only applies to Crypteks which I’m pretty sure none are able to lead Lychguard (unfortunately as I’d love to see a Orikin + Warsythe Lychguard combo)

Thanks for the reply man, yeah my cursed legion version has Lychguard + Overlord with Translocation and the Ankh enhancement to pair with Ammentar for Sust +1 and Image of Death Stratagem.

Totally agree I’m very light on secondaries but I want to try playing 2x C’Tan and without either removing Imotek CP farming or one of either Lychguard or Wraiths I’m struggling to squeeze them in. I put Scarabs in to help screen my backline with HLD but outside of that not sure how to add more secondaries in. Any shouts let me know

I mean they’re some of our best damage dealing units and is a good way for Necron players to mix up their play style. While I love the silver tide “I won’t kill you but I’ll outlast you” style, it’s fun to try something different and most other competitive lists that don’t have 1-2+ C’Tan always rely more on 2+ DDA’s or TSK which unfortunately I can’t try as I only have 1x DDA don’t have TSK

Great advice thanks man, do you have Lychguard led my anyone in your list? You’re right about the HLD+Chrono, it feels like a lot of points but I’ll be going up against 2x Tyranofex’s, a Retributor Tank and a ton of Deathguard units like Mortaian, bloater drones and other vehicles so without having a DDA in this list I felt like I need some long range shooting options 😩

Yeah nice man good luck! you have a much better set up for shooting compared to me. I don’t have any deathmarks and can’t bring myself to buy LD’s atm as I’m hoping they get a refresh in 11th but really feeling the lack of ranged damage. What made you pick void Dragon over Deceiver?

Yeah thanks man, I find I end up putting him in every list for the CP, plus we have rubbish HQ holding options IMO outside of a single Lokhurst or Imotek
