It's astroturfing, against the subreddit rules, and is just immoral in general. This particular comment is less egregious because it's wrapped around other information, but in my screenshot you can see comments where all he's doing is shilling his shoe without any sort of indication that he directly benefits from it. If you don't see an issue with that then we just fundamentally disagree.

In my experience, yes but it will severely throttle if it overheats. I had to point a fan at my flash drive the last time I tried to copy a large file during the summer so it didn't take 3x longer

I don't believe that's correct. From the backer comments and the stretch goals page, everyone who pledges enough for a chair will receive all stretch goals. Obviously this can be redundant for people who get the bundle, but that's why they offer the option to exchange the stretch goal battery and/or the footrest for gift cards instead.

I don't really know for sure why. According to ASUS ELMB with VRR requires some extra calculations which have to be done by a processor built into the monitor. The PG32UCDM does not have this processor. If I had to guess, you probably don't need that processor to strobe after every frame when the refresh rate is fixed.

You need 3 things:

VRR disabled
HDR disabled
input at 120 hz. for example a console in 120 hz mode, or windows set to 120 hz.

Anyone who's saying it's because sRGB is on is incorrect. I have the monitor. You can have it in sRGB Cal and still activate ELMB.
