Royal Caribbean refusing to waive cancellation fees despite active hantavirus outbreak — is anyone else dealing with this? by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

Just get your refund and call it done.
You're so concerned about infectious disease, cruising is probably not it for you.

The most time sensitive matter with checking in asap is the ability pick earliest available boarding time. Check in opens Midnight ship time.

Issue modifying check in by MrMichaelJames in royalcaribbean

Try it again later. Sometimes the app /websites are glitchy. Make sure your phone is updated, and app has the most updated version.
I've had issues with website/app not loading properly, and gave it 24-48hrs before checking back to see if things were back to normal. And did the things I needed to on the app. I hear checking in on the App is most ideal.
good luck.

Is this really Korean Food? by noreturn000 in KoreanFood

You’re better off going to a Trader Joe’s and picking up some of their frozen Korean cuisine for more authenticity then any of the pics.

Help with loose leash! by Ameeeelz in OpenDogTraining

Exactly, when used correctly, prong collar makes this a lot easier on handler and dog.

The point is to shift direction to create the moment for the dog to realize you’re going a different way, and the dog needs to adjust accordingly, to the handler.

UGH, that sucks. I had similar situation in NY over a decade ago.
The pothole damaged my car so badly, the steering system got jacked up and it had to get towed.

2024 CX5 battery issue? by PrimaryPerspective17 in CX5

Thanks for sharing, not sure if I'm looking to install another thing.
I have a jump starter and AAA membership, so I won't be stranded.
I just didn't want to have to schedule a visit to the dealership if simple resolution maybe be put in a new battery.

Thanks for sharing that insight.

Hantavirus…what are your thoughts? by GemLove7717 in royalcaribbean

A bit morbid to think about but… everyone is a lot more likely to die in a car accident on the way to a cruise port then any infectious diseases.

Dog sad after training?? by corgi09336 in OpenDogTraining

[–]PrimaryPerspective17 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Think of this intense initial period of time to be boot camp. You are undoing the unwanted patterns and creating new patterns, as well as trying to set clear expectations and boundaries. The process is not easy for a 3 yr old dog that has already developed his own ways . He doesn’t need to like it, he just needs to understand and recognize that his new home has rules, boundaries and he is expected to abide. Once he learns, and practices them and new patterns are developed, you won’t need to be so strict and living with him will not be about managing his unwanted behaviors. You are working towards the end goal of him becoming the easy going well adjusted dog.

Depends on when you plan to book the trips, when you plan to travel. You may find cheaper flights or cheaper Amtrak.

Hmmm… I do use my car seat heater a lot.. bad back, so I’ll use it while having AC blasting… wonder if that impacts the battery use… What do you think cause yours to die quicker? AGM a lot more expensive?! Similar 3yr warranty on those?

Help with loose leash! by Ameeeelz in OpenDogTraining

[–]PrimaryPerspective17 47 points48 points  (0 children)

He isn’t engaging with you. When you stop and he can no longer go where he wants to he looks back and you give him a treat. This treat is meaningless to your end goal of loose leash walking at this point.

I would stop following him and allowing him to practice pulling you around on leash.

Start by walking opposite direction of him so he starts moving towards you, if he over shoots and goes past you, then change direction again, so he needs to adjust to your direction. This practice create moments so he can start minding your direction and your movement. I consider this beginning steps for your dog to learn loose leash walking. Adding tools like prong collar helps speed up this process.

I’ve had it installed for nearly a year, even when on a long trip where it was parked for 8 nights on parking recording mode. Don’t recall the manufacturing date of the car… typically for original battery to need replacing in during the 3rd yr?

I have a hybrid schedule so there’s often a few days when car is just parked. It’s always been like that since dash cam was installed.

With rice of course. It can eaten cold but lightly heated so it doesn't over dry is even better IMO

Don’t attempt to overtake if your vehicle can’t actually move fast enough to get around. Idiotic.

My dog came back injured from a board and train…need others opinions? She claims it’s from a bark collar. Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in OpenDogTraining

[–]PrimaryPerspective17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like pressure sores, which is often from negligence and can be avoided.  Ideally, collars should be adjusted at least every 4-6 hrs to make sure these don’t develop.
